MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS
PC Architectural System Design:
Oversaw the product architecture definition & design of an Intel Montevina based Semi -rugged
PC.
Served as technical expert for internal and international design partners to validate that the PC
design meets the Functional Specification. Communicated design requirements and provided
design direction which resulted in a reduction of PCB cost of goods by >5%.
Developed multiple Design Verification Test Plans to validate compliance to the Functional
Specification for Intel based PC’s. Completed all test plans under schedule to verify the PC
design resulting under schedule release of the product.
Participated hand and hand with over 15 internal and external core team members to resolve
interdisciplinary design issues reducing scheduled release by 10%.
Design Engineering:
Assisted Lead Electrical Engineer on an Intel Santa Rosa based PC that was developed into a
production released semi-rugged PC.
Supported the Lead Engineer in the development of the PC platform architecture.
Created multiple internal documents such as; Design Verification, ESD, EMI and Electrical
Stress Testing procedures.
Performed majority of Design Verification tests to confirm product compliance resulting in
release of product on schedule.
Participated as Electrical Technical Lead for the integration of an Intel Almador based OEM
Rugged Tablet PC into the standard rugged product offering, managing daily direction of
electrical requirements via verbal and written communication with international design partner s.

Responsible for the analog and digital design of multiple production released Vehicle and Office
Docks for both rugged and semi-rugged computers.
Provided electrical and mechanical project direction due to limited resources which allowed other
projects to be completed per schedule.
Management/Supervisory:
Served as member of Storage Device Team responsible for strategic direction of all Memory
devices, Hard Disk Drives, Solid State Drives and Optical Disk Drives integrated into all
platforms.
Directed the Storage Device selection for qualification and participated in the design validation
process.
Appointed Project Manager and Design Electronic Engineer involved with CRT and Unix WS
designs by working with local and international partners in the desi gn and debug of internal
PCBA’s. Created and executed test plans and assisted in completing all regulatory agency
requirements.
Awarded 2 General Dynamics Bronze Eagle Awards for resolving customer issues of Semi
Rugged PC & Semi Rugged Vehicle Docks without delaying current project resulting in securing
2 separate customer accounts.
EMPLOYMENT:
GENERAL DYNAMICS ITRONIX, Spokane, WA Senior Staff Electrical Engineer, 1995-2009
Lead Electrical Engineer on defining PC architecture, reviewing the schematics, reviewing multi layer
board and flex circuit files and debugging PCBA’s. Verified compliance of USB, PCI, PCI Express, FSB,
FWH, LPC, LVDS, SMB, SATA, PATA, SCSI and other PC based bus designs using standard test
equipment such as signal analyzers, o'scopes, logic analyzers, data logging and other standard electronic
Lab equipment.
Electrical Engineer on multiple Vehicle and Office Dock development including defining the electrical
interface architecture between docks and rugged computers. Design and released both Linear and DC-DC
power supplies with an integrated USB Hub and RS232 serial ports for multiple PCBA’s. Designed the
cable interconnect system to interface these various PCBA’s. Created and Production Released the Dock
Developers Kit containing all electrical and mechanical documentation to allow independent design of
Vehicle Docks by multiple vendors.
