Project Manager & Team Leader (2007-2008)
Oversaw all aspects of a senior plant design project, which NASA Ames partly funded. Performed lab
experiments and leveraged results to propose a scale up process for building an industrial size plant.
Prepared comprehensive business proposals, which included conducting financial costing analysis to
determine the costs of the proposed plant design. Developed Gantt charts to monitor progress and ensure on
time project completion.

Undergraduate Research Assistant (2006-2007)
Conducted thorough research studies to determine whether municipal waste is a viable source of energy in
addition to developing new and improved, cost-effective chemical manufacturing processes. Contacted local
wastewater treatment plants to arrange the collection of samples. Followed standard testing procedures to
analyze and define the caloric heating value of 3 different wastewater samples.
• Determined the most effective arrangement of operations for heat transfer, distillation and drying.
• Ensured that all processes operated in compliance with environmental, health and safety principles.
• Facilitated the setup of a fluidized bed and Thermo Gravimetric Analysis (TGA) machine.
