• Developed a tool used by R &D trading systems, which captures logs generated by 50 different trading

system machines every 15 minutes and stores it into a centralized database.

• Provides a Dashboard based UI which enables user to perform custom search and reporting.

• Designed a database to hold about 90GB of data, capturing 6 months of logs from the machines, using

Bloomberg’s proprietary database.

• Optimized speed vs. size of the database to improve the querying speed for log retrieval.

• Insert operations were using Python scripts in Linux platform, Extraction logic was SQL based,

presentation layer was developed using JavaScript and proprietary tools.

Smart Race

• A Google Android (now made open source) based phone that determines the position of the fellow

competitors in a geographically separated race.

• Designed a UI that displays the path of the players using Map Activity of android sdk.

• Created a list view using List Activity to record the position of the players with respect to their

starting points.

• Used spoof data to generate the paths of the players.

• Implemented in Java and the results were displayed in Android emulator.

Travel Planner

• Developed a travel planner website using the ASP .NET framework in C#.

• Provides tourists with information such as famous tourist spots of certain cities in India.

• Is as a portal to learn about travel information including booking and accommodation facilities.

• A web service was used to retrieve a list of available flights and hotels from a remotely hosted web

server.

Data Mining

• Predicts the rating of a movie in a Netflix database by a user using Content based and non

content based collaborative prediction techniques.

• Developed a Collaborative Filtering approach for non content based predictions.

• The second model follows Content-Based approach which uses information like actors, director,

genre of the movie etc.

• The project was developed in Java.
