Solution Architect
Project scope included the replacement of existing EDI gateway
•
applications implemented using SeeBeyond products with TIBCO
products. The EDI gateway applications are responsible for deliv-
ering TexasSET market business requests to/from 150 market
participants using EDI X12 data and integrating business requests
with Mainframe endpoint applications.
• Responsible for overall solution approach and strategy executed
by a team consisting of 1 technical architect, 8 developers, 3
Business Analysts, 4 Testers.
• Ensured that business requirements gathered aligned with busi-
ness needs as well as market protocols, normal market practices
and expectations to ensure that the delivery of electric service
was not interrupted.
• Developed solution architecture and approach ensuring alignment
with requirements and TexasSET market protocols and expecta-
tions.
• Provided workshop strategy to document existing business proc-
esses using TIBCO Business Studio. The output from the work-
shops was used to generate the formal business requirements as
well as identify the endpoint interfaces that were to be integrated.
• Provided basis for documentation of interfaces and mappings en-
suring that these documents aligned with Business Requirements
and Business Process Models.
• Solution provided for XML business interfaces, service mappings
as well as WSDL service contracts. Both SOAP and REST style
services were implemented.
• Provided strategy to simulate integrated testing early in develop-
ment life cycle.
• Implemented a test driven strategy to accurately track progress
against plan.
• Provided solution to allow for accurate and timely Business Activ-
ity Monitoring BAM to ensure that both business and IT had the
transparency of business requests in process.

• Scope of work included processing of EDI claims from external
trading partners through validation and integration with Amisys
adjudication system. Replacing legacy EDI translator and COBOL
components with TIBCO Business Connect and TIBCO business

legacy translator mappings as well as existing COBOL code to
determine necessary business process flow and data mappings
