Developing apparel trim items from conception to production, working closely with

Spyder designers & overseas factories/vendors with a focus on cost-saving to create a

superior and globally successful product.

Executed custom designed trims for Spyder & Cloudveil Mountain Works. Set up/managed over 600

unique trim items per season in the Mac based File Maker Pro system. Includes some but not all:

zippers, zipper pullers, buttons, snaps, heat transfers, logos, draw-cords, Velcro, hang-tags,

packaging, & all labels.

Developed & maintained strong working relationships with various vendors/raw material suppliers

domestically, in Asia & Europe through daily email communication & regular face to face meetings.

Helped to organize Vendor Summit week as a cost saving measure.

Calculated & provided the forecasted usage for each trim item to our vendors; manually pre-booked

goods for salesmen sample & bulk orders for smoother production.

Initiated the consolidation of trim variety & suppliers during 2007-2009, dropping extraneous trims &

re-organizing/negotiating to gain greater purchasing power & cost savings, w/ net savings of 2-5% or

$200-500,000 dollars each season in hardware purchase costs.

Trouble-shooting problems on the fly at the vendor, garment factory & office level daily.

Responsible for testing & complying to all garment standards of safety & quality.

Traveled to trade shows to promote the Spyder brand, met w/ raw material suppliers & observed

trends.

Spearheaded eco-trims initiatives, starting in all packaging & hang-tags. Educated colleagues on new

eco-technologies for a greener & less impactful footprint.

Managed all Cloudveil trim developments for Spring2010/Fall10. Traveled to CMW head quarters,

presented the latest trends/technology in trims, & planned/pre-designed developments for the

upcoming season.
