• Cross-trained to become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on new and different technologies and
applications as developers transitioned out of R&SA.
• Successfully executed all tasks to meet the System Sunset plan for decommissioned applications.
• Transitioned support to an off shore team. Helped them to develop a Master Process Handbook (MPH)
outline the application components and know operational maintenance procedures. Task also included
hands-on knowledge transfer with production support.
Senior Analyst / Developer-Claims Systems (1998 – 2003)
• Utilized the SDLC methodology, developed documents as required by the scope of each project.
• Engaged all owners of the SDLC; business owners, software architects, developers, UAT testers, and
operational personnel.
• Developed and tested a R5 database used to store information for Large Loss Claims utilizing Lotus Script
and Replic-Action to pull data from the mainframe. This database allowed the Claims department to track
large loss claims in a central location. The complexity of this application required a very detailed test script
to ensure the large number of inter-dependent fields was completed properly and information returned from
the mainframe was correct.
• Using test scripts, tested TerTime, a new software package being brought in –house.
• Provided enhancements and 24/7 on-call support for a company wide claims system. This system was a
web based R5 application that handled all insurance claims utilizing Lotus Script, middleware components
and COBOL to push/pull data from the mainframe.
• Supported a Claims Case Management system, a client/web based R6 application that handled all attorney
case information specific to claim.
• Improved performance on Lotus Noted databases using Teamstudio software to analyze and trouble-shoot.
