• Champion the investigation and development of commodity segmentation by key characteristic identification

to perform gap analysis between actual and low cost country cost for current and new programs for sixty

• Managed negotiations and vendor relations to achieve $2,000,000 in savings on $10,000,000 dollars in spend

by bundling aluminum steering spend.

• Implemented management review process for Steering new program launch to achieve one hundred percent

• Championed the integration of TRW and Lucas Varity from a North American Purchasing standpoint while

maintaining focus on operational and strategic objectives with a combined spend of one billion dollars and 80

employees in this global matrix purchasing organization.

Materials Management

• Assessed the strategic aspects of Materials Management and Manufacturing Management support for plant

at the corporation’s flagship facility. Led all materials management and manufacturing activities with a staff

of eight and 200 non-union employee workforce total $300M in sales while exceeding operational

goals

• Direct responsibility for management of manufacturing, materials management, indirect purchasing for this

$450 million ABS.

• Cultivate and develop the strategies to improve customer ratings to one hundred percent while improving

inventory record accuracy and reducing inventory by fifty percent to a five-day level within six months.

• Initiator and team lead responsible for establishing a pilot supplier expectation team to strengthen the

relationship across the supply chain through partnership, communication and measurement.
