Coordinate due diligence, and manage any issues that arise throughout the trade.

Reduced the outstanding claims position by over $1B out of $1.3B in 2007.

Built from the ground up, a best in class loss mitigation process, system and team to collect

from mortgage originators on delinquent and misrepresented loans purchased by Morgan

Stanley.

Recruited, trained, and managed a team of 15 loss mitigation specialists, and credit analysts

to support claims resolution through the analysis of pay histories, loan status, property

condition, value, loan to value, and credit, including fraud and misrepresentation at

origination.

Designed and built a process and system to identify, flag, notice and follow up on repurchase

claims.

The primary Morgan Stanley contact with the institutional and correspondent clients for

negotiating settlements.

Analyzed seller’s financial statements and worked with the trade desk to value the assets.

Increased transparency and clarity by developing accurate reporting to communicate claims

position, resolution velocity, wire tracking, recovery rates, counterparty risk alerts and

structured settlement tracking.

Mitigated counterparty risk by developing a grading matrix that catalogued sellers by their

willingness and ability to resolve claims. Automated this function and delivered results to

internal groups to facilitate claims resolution, demand letters, litigation and seller

suspensions.

Provided direction on risk decisions and loss mitigation action to the Head of the Residential

Trade Desk and Chief Risk Officer.

Developed customized alternatives to loan repurchase, and worked with the Contract Finance

Group to structure settlements.

Managed valuation due diligence for bulk Subprime, Alt-A, and Scratch and Dent mortgage

acquisitions where total volumes averaged more than $3 Billion per month for most of 2005

and 2006.

Trained valuation staff to ensure internal groups including - Trade Desk and Operations and

external clients - received reviews that were clear and concise to facilitate decision making and

pricing.

Oversaw onsite monthly valuation tie-outs, including all client interactions.

Reconciled Broker Price Opinions with Appraisals and other valuation tools to come up with fair

market values. Reviewed loans that fell out of tolerance to mitigate risk for the firm. Tied out

with the valuation staff onsite at the seller’s shops as well as via phone conference.

Developed a vendor network that provided various valuation products. Responsible for

approving, training, and monitoring vendor performance.
