DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Essential Job Functions:
Assume responsibility for the maintenance and proper operation of production systems; Advise
programming personnel in new programming or modifications; Prepare program specifications,
report layouts, input documents, etc. for assignment to subordinates; Prepare computer programs
including flow-charting, coding, testing, implementation and documentation; and Perform some
systems analysis, working with users of HR and Business departments, for the development of
new or revised systems.
Specific Job Duties:
A primary developer in the School Board's Payroll/HR Information System - programming tasks
included requirements gathering, analysis, development and design of software to enhance
performance of daily operations of schools and various departments of support facilities;
Coordinate the printing of annual tax documents (W2's and 1099's) for distribution to employees
and vendors and submission of data files to governmental agencies; Conduct training workshops
as well as provide support for users throughout parish; Fulfill various ad hoc report requests for
other departments and outside agencies as needed; Facilitated data conversion and
implementation of a new check printing system.
