November 2007 - January 2009:
- Setup, managed & supported approximately 200 Proliant servers running Windows 2003, locally on a 24/7
basis. Server types include domain controllers, application servers, file, print, monitoring & infrastructure- Active
Directory, DHCP, DNS, etc.
- Member of Windows Tower Team managing approximately 1400+ systems worldwide on a 24/7
basis when on-call.
- Project Manager: Managed the move of 180 development servers out of a core-site data center due to building
closure and into a newer & modernized facility.
- Project Manager: Stabilized the Windows infrastructure and network environment of the Fremont manufacturing
site. Duties included server consolidation and migrating legacy servers onto either new hardware or VMware.
- Setup, managed & maintained VMware ESX Server v3.5 environment.
- Virtualized & migrated into VMware the all local systems residing on out-of-warranty legacy hardware for
continued supportability and minimal downtime.
April 2001 - November 2007:
- Successfully completed the task of the setup and management of the West Coast Windows 2003 Platform
Infrastructure and Exchange environments located in a core-site data center in Cupertino, CA.
- Provided 24/7 support ranging from all hardware, OS and application levels of 193 Proliant servers.
- Setup and maintained Windows monitoring of all Proliant hardware residing in the data center via HP/Compaq
Insight Manager.
- Appointed by Corporate as the main point-of-contact of the Windows Platform Infrastructure & Exchange
environments saving the cost of extra headcount.
- Joined the Corporate Windows Infrastructure team as the West Coast Infrastructure- DHCP, DNS, VPN, etc was
implemented.
- Joined the Corporate Exchange team in the setup of the MS Exchange 2000/2003 environments and the setup of
mailbox storage in a SANS environment as well.
May 2000 - March 2001:
- Promoted to the Windows server group.
- Engineered the West Coast printing model which Corporate adopted for company-wide use.
- Consolidated all West Coast print servers including 12 in Cupertino down to 2 centralized servers reducing the
cost of ownership per box.
- Consolidated 8 Windows NT file servers down to 3 servers running Windows 2000, further reducing cost while
expediting the rollout of Windows 2000.
- Worked in coordination with the corporate Windows Infrastructure team in the implementation of Windows
2000 Active Directory and the migration of global accounts.
February 2000:
- Hired as a full-time employee by the company known then as Compaq Computer Corporation.
- Appointed as the Lead of all of Desktop Support consisting of 11 technicians supporting the entire Compaq
Cupertino Campus (13 buildings).
- Represented the group during conference calls and meetings with other organizations within Compaq.
- Functioned as point of contact for escalations ensuring customer satisfaction.
June 1999:
- Appointed as Lead of Desktop Support South Cupertino Campus which now consisted of 4 technicians. User
community remained approximately 1200 users across 5 buildings.
August 1998:
- Hired by what was known then as Tandem Computers in Cupertino, CA.
- Brought on as a member of the “south” section of the Desktop Support Team consisting of 6 technicians
supporting approximately 1200 developers in 5 buildings.
- Participated in the rollout of over 1000 new Compaq workstations requiring imaging, testing, delivery, setup &
providing basic customer training as well.
