WORK AND RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
06/2006-Present Senior Software Engineer, Interest Rate Derivatives Group, Bloomberg LP
Developed and maintained pricing tools for the analysis of interest rate derivatives
in Bloomberg Terminal, including SWPM (Interest Rate Swap Pricing Engine),
YASN(Structured Notes Yield Spread Analysis), OAS1(Option Adjusted Spread
Analysis), ASW(Asset Swap Valuation), YAF(Floating Rate Bond Analysis),
YAS(Fixed Income Security Yield Spread Analysis). Tasks include:
- Researched and Implemented algorithms and designs that lead to roll out of
new analytics applications using C++ on Unix, also used Java script, XML for
user interface, and multithread programming for Client/Server communication
and memory management
- Enhanced analytics libraries in C++ and C to extend the coverage of
mathematical analysis applications
- Designed algorithms and tools using C++ and Unix script to benchmark and
compare results of various calculation methods, and improve the pricing
capabilities and accuracies of those applications
- Performance profiling and optimization using Quantify and Purify
- Maintained YAF and ASW functions in C and Fortran
05/2001-05/2006 Graduate Research Assistant, Georgia Tech, Atlanta, GA
Investigated the energy gain achievable by correlation aware data gathering.
Proposed a novel communication paradigm for wireless sensor networks. Used
C++/Tk/TCL on Linux to simulate and study the performance of the proposed
approaches
Designed and implemented variations of TCP/IP protocols for wireless networks,
QoS guaranteed networks, and multimedia real time communication. Used
C++/VC++, socket and multithread programming on Linux and Windows to simulate
and implement prototypes for these protocols
04/1997–04/2001 System Engineer, China Telecom, China
Designed and led the implementation of two Wide Area network resource
management database applications using MS SQL Server and Visual Basic
Performed large-scale Wide Area Network and Local Area Network management.
Planned and implemented network migration and capacity upgrades for wide-area
ATM and Frame-relay networks
Acted as a part-time instructor teaching company employees courses in the area of
telecom and computer networks
