• Training
Training was provided for clients’ employees in all aspects of safety including
CPR/1st aid, OSHA 10 & 30 hour classes, Forklift operation, NFPA 70E, and other
various safety topics.
• Inspections
Client sites were audited including both construction and general industry sites to
identify safety issues and provide solutions. Inspection reports were created to give
clients an accurate picture of their loss potential on a site. Data was reviewed to
trend incidents.
• Accident Investigations
Accident investigations were conducted as they were needed. Inspections were
documented and procedural changes were recommended to eliminate the
reoccurrence of accidents.
• Consultation
I would attend OSHA site walks with clients as their representative. I represented
clients if OSHA citations were received. I prepared a defense for the OSHA informal
conference and attend the conferences to negotiate the penalties.
Corporate Loss Prevention Manager
6/2001 - 12/2004 Centex Construction Inc, Nashville, TN
I was responsible for the safety management on several hospital and medical
research building construction sites throughout the United States at any one time.
I led the corporate safety task team. We were responsible for the creation of new
programs such as internet safety training for all employees in the company.
I was responsible for the management of claims that arose on sites, as well as
accident follow ups, and on site inspections. I managed a large contractor controlled
insurance program from a safety/loss prevention standpoint managing the budget
as well as the claims.
OSHA training classes for onsite employees and management members were
provided. Classes encompassed all areas of safety including life safety, emergency
response, infection control, fall protection and other needs that arose.
I was responsible for various projects on the Vanderbilt campus in Nashville, TN. I
managed safety on the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, Medical research buildings 3
and 4, as well as ongoing campus improvement projects.

2/1999 - 5/2001 Combined Health District of Montgomery County, Dayton Ohio,
• I was involved in three different environmental programs.
Rabies control
I quarantined animals that were suspect of carrying the rabies virus. I also
sampled animals that died while under quarantine.
Private sewer/water systems
I inspected and sampled private sewer and water systems to verify that they
were meeting environmental and installation standards.
Nuisance abatement.
I investigated complaints by members of the community involving illegal wild
animal ownership, private sewer issues, and well contamination.
Various positions
4/1994 - 7/2000 Furrow Building Materials, Beavercreek Ohio,
I held several positions within the Furrow organization. Including Lead
Management, Department Manager, Market employment and training coordinator.
My responsibilities included scheduling and training employees, developing
customer relations, Store appearance, and sourcing employees in compliance with
EOE guidelines. I gained valuable experience on how to manage workers and
business operations while working at Furrow.
Waste Water Worker
3/1998 - 2/1999 Greene County Public Works, Xenia Ohio,
I was responsible for the general appearance of the plant inside and out, D.O.
testing, TSS testing, and pH testing of the influent and effluent waters. During my
work at the treatment plant I help to keep the plant operating within the NPDES
permit requirements.
Storm water intern
1996 Ohio Environmental Protection Agency, Dayton Ohio,
I was responsible for inspecting industrial, construction, and landfill sites for runoff
water that was classified in their NPDES permit. On the sites I inspected the “Best
Management Practices” controls being utilized to control the erosion and run off
from the sites. I verified that all parameters of the permit were fulfilled so that the
permit could be cancelled and a “Notice of Termination” could be filed. I also
helped the on site personal in the selection of controls to be used on the site.

I have a wide breadth of experience in the EH&S discipline that applies to the

I have very strong communication skills and the ability to relate to all levels of
employees and staff members. Strong presentation skills and interpersonal
communication.
I am well versed in Microsoft office applications.
