Selected Accomplishments
Designed and Managed the building of a new Research and Automotive Design and Development facility for the
purpose of manufacturing all samples for automotive customers. All samples were produced in the sample area and
through PPAP phase. This allowed for the manufacturing group to produce a product for orders instead of samples
during critical dimes during the year and gave the company an advantage over competitor shops.
Developed and Instituted policies and procedures designed to reduce the cost per man hour per yard of fabric. By
improving the efficiency and quality performance standards of the Dyeing and Finishing Plants, labor costs were
reduced. This effort saved the company over $ 175,000 per year; Initiated an on line inspection system that reduced
the cost of inspection and off quality saving the company over $ 90,000.
Turned around a significant problem in lost business from competition of foreign imports. Developed and
marketed new products designed to replace business lost to foreign imports. Replaced more than 25% of the
company’s customers that were lost to foreign competition with new and more profitable customers.
Managed the successful start-up of a new jet dye facility. Dye jets were purchased to replace dye jigs. The
combination of new fabrics, new equipment and inexperienced operators created a problem in meeting the increase
in new business. This new facility became the largest supplier of automotive seating for the North American
marketplace.

textile lamination business.
