I bring a strong record of crafting training programs to improve operations and reduce costs in government and
non-government settings. Being operations-oriented and a logical problem solver, I led multiple security training
and staff development implementations, completing time-critical projects and significantly lowering operational
costs. I have mentored young people and trained senior military personnel. Additionally my skills include:
Meeting demanding objectives in rapidly changing environments
Evaluating ineffective training programs and developing streamlined solutions
Making compelling presentations to highest-level senior executives
Building, training and mentoring customer-centric teams
Winning cooperation from superiors, peers and subordinates
W ith a BSBA from Cardinal Stritch University and an AA in Logistics from The Community College of the Air
Force, I am known for my skillful negotiating and management abilities. I have often been recognized as a
persuasive and natural leader who easily wins people’s confidence and brings order out of chaos.
SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Reorganized large-scale training program. DynCorp and DoD, at the Iraqi Training and Advisory Mission (ITAM),
were unable to meet mandated hiring and training of local security forces. Presented customer-oriented options.
Simplified training processes. Shortened time-to-train cycle to ten weeks. Successfully completed two-year
program, adding 490,000+ qualified personnel to Iraqi Security Force.
Harmonized dysfunctional leadership team. Poor information flow delayed strategic decisions made by ITAM
Director. Recognized disparate inputs being submitted, each with their own set of priorities. Developed a
streamlined Balanced Scorecard system, allowing the Commander to receive in-depth briefs without editorial
inputs. Enabled critical-time issues to be resolved in accordance with Multinational Force directives.
Reduced costs with effective cross-training program. Local Steak n Shake was unprofitable. Identified
excessive labor hours and lack of training as issues. Initiated cross-training program, allowing one individual to
work multiple positions. Restructured staff and decreased work hours 35%, returning locale to profitability.
Automated field logistics, reducing supply delivery times. Iraqi Police Provincial Headquarters was unable to
respond efficiently to supply requests. Identified manual process as critical issue. Implemented system to track
incoming orders, request deliverables and drive fills. Reduced four-month turn-around to an acceptable six weeks.
Implemented revenue-producing developmental program. Finance Department at Family Mitsubishi was
underperforming. As Business Manager, discovered staff would not close customers on tenuous sales. Trained
group and initiated policy to ask every client to make the purchase. Doubled closing rate and increased profits.
