progress reports evaluate vendors and analyzes test reports. Provided technical on site guidance
and direction to on site sub-contractors.
Engineered and designed complete construction packages for five FAA En-Route Air Traffic
Control Centers (HOCSR) Host Oceanic Computer System Replacement. Responsibilities were
the same on both efforts and to oversee the installation by sub contractors. The HOCSR was very
complex in that the existing two Host Computer Systems were on line with one as back up and
had to remain on line while the transition was occurring. Design included adding Passive switch
racks to switch Bus and Tag cables from the existing Host back up to the new IBM G-3. All five
sites were transferred to the new G-3 systems and delivered on time without incident to normal air
traffic.
