• Responsible for design and implementation of firmware for a battery powered wireless gauge reader using the

IEEE 802.11 protocol as the backbone.

• Designed and implemented the communication protocol between three processors ( ARM7, NEC LCD controller

and MoBL processor) that share the same communication bus.

• Implemented a command parser module in C++.

mapper and the Protocol Data Unit Delineation Process hardware modules.

- Implementation of the MIMO (STTD and SM) concepts as part of the Wave2 features for the IEEE 802.16.

Embedded Software Engineer Southern Vision Systems, Inc (May 2004-Aug 2005)

• Designed software for a high-speed imaging system SpecterView that performs the functions of a suite of sensors

by emulating multiple analog photo detectors such as a fast photodiode, quad detector, line scan camera, and an

RS-170 video camera.

• Designed a customized MAchine Vision Inspection System (MAVIS) capable of high frame rate product

inspection using neural networks and pattern matching for object rotation or scale using the FFT implementation.

• Developed a software interface for MAVIS on a PC/104 SBC interface under Embedded Linux Platform.

• Developed a USB interface with cypress EZ-USB FX2 on the camera and the host computer.

• Documented the performance of the camera systems to facilitate the future development of the high speed

devices.

• Analyzed performance of VxWorks system targeted to Motorola VME processors with Ethernet backbone, in

terms of throughput and bandwidth of Ethernet linkage.

Design Engineer Naval Science and Technological Laboratories (NSTL), India (Jan 2001-May 2001)

• Developed a synthesizable VHDL model of an 8255 Programmable Peripheral Interface module in mode 1.

• Developed a general and reusable VHDL test bench framework for the VHDL model to enable easy regression

testing.

• Performed synthesis, place and route, and timing closure of the VHDL module on a Xilinx XC9572XL CPLD

using Xilinx Foundation Series 3.x.

• Documented the performance and results of the module functioning to facilitate the future development for

underwater weapon technology research.
