Overview: Rick Hopkins is a Senior Consultant with over 15 years of experience with both

JD Edwards World and OneWorld products. Overall Rick has over 25 of systems

experience. He has a great deal of technical expertise in the functional areas of distribution,

service billing, payroll, human resources, customer service management, and financials. His

technical JDE skillset focuses on ERW, UBEs, Financial Report writing, applications, custom

modifications, conversions, and interfaces.

JDEdwards Work Experience

• Dennon Marantz – March 2009 – Present. Performed an upgrade of the clients World

Software for 7.3 to 9.1. This included retrofitting modifications from 7.3 to 9.1 in the

distribution and financial modules.

• UTC Power – Sept 2008 – Jan 2009. Wrote conversion programs to migrate data from

JDE World Software to Oracle E1. These programs were written in RPGILE and the E1

ERW. In addition custom applications and reports were created using the E1

Development Tools. Also used Strategy to create custom reports.

• Fendi – March 2008 – August 2008. Worked with SAP team to extract the financial data

from J.D. Edwards and format the data for migration to SAP. These data extraction

programs consisted of the following modules. Customer Master, Vendor Master,

Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, General Ledger and Item Master.

• Marc Jacobs – Aug 2007 - Jan 2007. Worked with Microsoft AX team to extract the

financial data from J.D. Edwards to the Microsoft AX system. These data extraction

programs consisted of the following modules. Customer Master, Vendor Master,

Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger.

• Kerzner International – Feb 2006 to July 2007 Worked on the implementation of a web

based hiring system for the Atlantis Hotel in the Bahamas. This system worked with a

third party vendor (HR Logix) to collect and screen applications, maintain headcount and

counts of open positions on a real time basis both on the Enterprise One HR system and

transfer that data to the HR Logix system. This system utilized the File triggers to call

Business functions (BSFN), Application Programs APPL, Batch programs and reports

(UBE).

Customized various A/R, A/P and Purchasing applications to meet the unique

requirements of the client. This involved working both application consultants and user

to identify gaps and develop specifications for each modification.

Transpro – Mar 2005 to Dec 2005 - World development/support project - Wrote

•

interfaces into the A/R and G/L making use of the Z file process; wrote and supported

the Lock Box application; acted as main support for overall Go Live event.

• Tiffany and Co – Jan 2004 to Mar 2005Worked on a team that performed the upgrade

from World to JDE Enterprise one in a coexistent environment. This included re-writing

FASTR reports using the Financial Report Writer tool for Enterprise One, writing

numerous custom UBE reports, and writing custom applications. These reports included

Fixed Asset reports and the applications included a program that allowed user selection

of fixed assets by store for accelerated depreciation when a store is remodeled. I also

designed, wrote and tested a three way match applications for A/R that allowed for user

review and ultimate selection of records.

Vanguard – April 2003 Dec 2003 One World development project - Wrote the table

conversion and UBE programs to convert the clients Address Book, Install Base and

Service Contracts. Assisted in training user/programmers to work with and develop in

One World. Work with users and consultants to design, code, and debug custom

requirements including ATP (Available to Promise), Service Billing (including calls to

Vertex) and retrieval of fixed asset information, and Advanced Pricing modifications.

These involved modifying JDE Sales Order, automatic purchase order generation,

writing custom reports using ERW, modifying JDE contract programs, billing file

generation, and renewal programs.

State of Nebraska – Sep 2002 – Mar 2003 Worked on the development of a custom

•

budget check business function. This mod prevents the state from going over budget in

appropriations, allotment, PSL (personal services limitation), grants and cash. This

modification includes new business functions, UBEs, applications, tables, business

views, and straight modifications to a number of JDE objects including General Ledger

Post Program, Purchase Order Processing, and others. These programs where created

using the JDE toolset and ERW.

Waterford Wedgewood – Mar 2002 to June 2002 One World development project that

included creating a custom Item restriction application used within the Inventory/Sales

Order modules.

make use of forms, application development, and UBEs.

Henry Shein – Sep 2001 to Dec 2001 Created Advanced Pricing modules to be called

from the Web site to perform all the functions of JD Edwards pricing that is incorporated

in Sales Order Processing.

Chandler Evans – Mar 2001 Sep 2001 Worked on the data conversion from a legacy

•

system on the IBM AS/400 to J.D. Edwards One World databases on the IBM AS/400.

Modules included Manufacturing, Inventory, Sales Order, and General Ledger.

• IBM Federal – Dec 2001 to Mar 2001 Created custom conversion and interfaces

for the population of Service Billing, Financials, Address book, Payroll, and Time Entry

related files

• Ford Foundation – providing ongoing support of customized World payroll and

financials since 1995. Wrote interfaces and conversions, and major enhancements to

online and batch programs in the payroll and financials modules, bank reconciliations

and bank tape programs. Provided support for upgrade of all customized programs

(7.3.5 to 7.3.10).

Whitehall Robbins – Jan 1999 to Dec 1999 Performed Upgrade of Customized

Programs (7.3.3 to 7.3.8. This included retrofitting, installing, and testing the modified

programs of J. D. Edwards Sales Order and Accounts Receivable Modules.

Seagrams – Oct 1997 to Jan 1999 Worked on the Seagrams Europe account. This

included two upgrades (7.2.4 to 7.3.1 and 7.3.1 to 7.3.8). This included retrofitting the

modified programs, installing these programs and working with the users to test, debug

and implement and upgraded release of J. D. Edwards Sales Order and Advanced Pricing

Modules.

• Merck – Sep 1996 to Oct 1997 Developed custom programs for the Accounts Payable

module of JD Edwards. Worked closely with the client to test and install the

modifications.

Sony Music – Dec 1996 Sep 1996 Participated in all stages of analysis, design and

coding for Sony’s Global Distribution system using JDEdwards Methodology.

International Thompson Publishing – Nov 1995 – Nov 1996 Member of a team

performing an upgrade of World software version A5.2 to A6.2 containing major custom

modifications to the JDEdwards Distribution Suite, especially Sales Order Processing
