Vice-President Operations
Responsible to the CEO, for the operations of a $70M business, consisting of 3 manufacturing
facilities and 250 employees. Full P&L authority for all manufacturing and the staff functions of
engineering, supply chain, customer service and quality.
• Designed and implemented a business environment of culture change moving from a private
entrepreneurial culture to an environment of a professional organization with strategic
direction, standardized metrics and goals and uniform processes and procedures.
• Implemented a cost savings program generating $1.4M in savings.
• Reduced inventory by 32%, improving cash reserves.
CHICAGO FAUCETS, a GEBERIT CO. Des Plaines, IL 2003 – 2006
$110M manufacturer of cast, machined and plated brass and plastic components for finished products.
Senior Vice-President Operations
Responsible to the President, for the operations of a $100M business consisting of 4
manufacturing facilities and 400 employees. Full P&L authority for all manufacturing and the
staff functions of engineering, supply chain and quality. These responsibilities also included
sales for a $20M O.E.M. business of specified machined component parts.
Generated $9M in cost savings, through the closure and relocation of a union facility,
construction of a new 80,000 sq. ft. facility, purchase and installation of a new plating line
and application of an off-shore sourcing initiative, within the scheduled 11 month time frame.
Developed and implemented centralized supply chain and quality functions including ISO
9000:2000 development.

$850M manufacturer of residential and commercial stainless steel sinks, water cooler, and faucets.
Manager Business Development & Strategic Sourcing – Faucet Products 2001 - 2003
Reporting to the Division President, designed a business strategy to grow the faucet business to
be a profitable $70M division of the Elkay group by outsourcing two new product lines, high-end
residential and commercial. This strategy applied competitively pricing 30% lower than the
competition, use of Elkay’s channels of distribution and reputation in the plumbing industry.
Prepared a business plan for implementation of this strategy, presented it to the Elkay Board
of Directors and achieved Board approval.
Selected two project teams and directed the implementation of the business plan to a
successful conclusion in a six-month time frame, meeting or exceeding all plan objectives.
Manager Operations – Faucet Division 1990 - 2001
Planned and directed all aspects of the division activities to achieve budgeted division P&L.
Developed and implemented an international out-sourcing strategy improving division profits
by 200% over a three-year period and achieved an 8-year track record of increased
profitability from 8% to 19%.
Developed and implemented production teams and a TQM environment.
Achieved de-certification of Teamsters union, followed by implementation of skill based pay
and gainshairing for factory employees, in a TQM environment.
Developed a consolidated base of worldwide suppliers that were certified to division quality
requirements and a new product introduction process, capable of bringing new products to
market within six months.
Plant Manager – St Charles, IL 1983 - 1990
Planned, directed and organized the production, materials management, and facilities
management for Elkay’s St. Charles facility.
Reduced plant expenses by $2M per year though annual cost reduction teams reducing
manufacturing costs 10% annually and reductions in warranty and quality issues by 65%.
Manager Corporate Manufacturing Engineering - Broadview, IL 1977 - 1983
Managed mechanical, manufacturing, and industrial engineering departments, provided support
to five manufacturing locations.
