Spearheaded several multimillion dollar product launches for both the U.S. and Canadian marketplace by leading
teams located in both the United States and in Europe, developing plans and establishing quality assurance

Piloted a program to upgrade our quality control system and report back results to key stakeholders and customers in
a quick and efficient manner. Collaborated with a global made team to bring the North American system global by
placing the information and database online to be viewed by anyone within the company, anywhere in the world.
Recognized by the Sales Team in 2002 for my efforts initiating this change. I assumed this responsibility while
continuing as Trade Show Manager and Technical Advisor.
Major Accomplishments
• Revised the North American system. Taking it from a slow, inefficient system, to a system that became quick
and efficient in less than 6 months.
• Increased response time from both North American and European support staff by setting response time as a
KPI ( Key Performance Indicator) measurable ISO Standard.
• Lead cross-functional monthly meeting that examined results and implemented actions, as necessary, based
upon those results.
Trade Show Manager May 2001- June 2008
Lead a team to enhance our trade show presence while working to attend trade shows at the lowest cost possible.
Worked with key show and logistics personnel arranged shipping, set up and take down of all displays and supporting
materials. Created a working “living” show shipping plan that could be changed as necessary to meet with the
unexpected challenges of attending shows in the winter and dealing with bad weather that could delay or disrupt booth
delivery. I assumed this responsibility while continuing with my role as Technical Advisor.

• Lead team to create, design and build a new $100,000 booth exhibit.
• Engaged in meaningful relationships with key trade show vendors to secure booth space with the best
visibility of our product to show attendees.

Technical Advisor December 2000-June 2008
Customer focused position that concentrated on learning the corporate product and culture. Answered in coming calls
from customers and serving as first or only contact the consumer may have with the company. Served as Technical
Trainer for new Advisors helping to create a training and certification program to be sure each was up to date and
knowledgeable about all products.
West Marine World largest retailer dedicated to the pleasure boat industry with stores in the U.S. & Canada.
Inventory Manager/Assistant Manager/Manager October1997- November 2000
Accountable for a $3 million dollar store working to maintain excellent customer relationships. Built a team of
seasonal and regular fulltime employees dedicated to the promotion of recommending the right
product for the right job. Encouraged the training and promotion of all employees through the
corporate training program
Major Accomplishments
• Organized an in-store marketing event that increased sales over 10% for the week, 25% over for the month.

• Worked with outside auditor to do accurate inventory counts resulting in allowing us to fine tune sales goals
based upon stock on hand.
