Successfully organized and established a new Human Resource Department for three fast growing
private companies. Defined objectives, established corporate policies, and implemented needed processes,
procedures and systems in all areas of HR. Created strong alliances between HR and the other department heads,
aligned with the business plan of the organization and its long-term goals.
30% Cost Savings overhauling and streamlining an entire payroll processing function. Reduced the overall cost
of processing, improved cycle time and introduced web access to employees for payroll and benefit data.
Managed the large implementation of new HR Information Systems (HRIS). Oversaw the successful
transfer of employee data. Worked closely with software engineers and implementation team members managing
the trial runs prior to and continuing through to the live interface.
Managed the implementation of a new medical group insurance strategy resulting in an annual administrative
and cost-of-claims savings of over 20% ($1.2M). The new plan represented a hybrid self-funding
approach that better served plan participants and improved the way costs were being accrued and managed.
As chairman of a Corporate Communication Task Force, successfully overhauled corporate
communication programs and processes, resulting in improved internal communication channels,
increased safety and benefit program awareness and a turnaround in employee morale and the work climate.
