Supported a large, multi-site environment utilizing Parallel Sysplex across multiple sites that provided 24x7x365
availability to banking customers around the world. Provided software installation and support of numerous vendor
products.

Notable Work
With a time frame of two months assisted with the installation of six z10 processors across multiple sites. Built
the IODF for one of the installs and provided upgrade support for the others.
Converted Change Control from a CA-Roscoe based product that had been heavily customized to be entirely
based in TSO / ISPF. Wrote CLISTs, REXX, ISPF panels and tables, and trained users, along with integrating
JCL checking and standards enforcement via calls to the PlusPack product. This effort was for elimination of the
CA-Roscoe software product and its associated software license fees, saving approximately $1MM a year.
Created SAS / MXG reports for Storage Administration and Performance / Capacity that are used for DASD
reporting and resource monitoring and projections.
Installed SAS version 9.1 and converted all batch processing from version 8.3 bringing the software to the latest
release and features.
Assisted the Audit and Risk departments performing both internal and external reviews. Designed and
implemented solutions to audit findings in several areas including: Production JCL override process, source
control tracking process and Production Scheduler findings.
Assisted application teams in the system development life cycle to ensure source code could be completed
according to installation standards along with meeting audit requirements.
On a rotating basis provided after hours support.

Storage Administrator
Supported a large replicated DASD environment with tape, and provided after hours support on a rotating basis.
Monitored resources for tape and DASD utilization.

Notable Work
Installed and implemented a software package that enforced JCL syntax and standards, reducing production
abends and recovery / restart times.
Reduced company expenses by several million dollars through a Print Reduction Initiative. Received
commendations from the company President and CEO.
Installed and implemented MXG, building daily and weekly production data bases.
Created several MS / Outlook forms using Visual Basic that eliminated over 1000 paper submissions per month.
These forms replaced the Incident Report, Storage Request, Production Override and Production implementation
forms. Each form required a managers approval and reply from the implementer.
1989 – 2000
Production Control Shift Supervisor
Started as a Computer Operator and progressed to shift supervisor.
Supervised second shift production control and network operations of 6 to 20 people; and after hours call center.
Processed nightly batch jobs, ensuring correct sequence and completed verification and balancing. Originally,
entire process was manual; replaced with an in-house developed job scheduling system.
Represented Production Control on the project to implement an in-house developed job scheduling system.
Traveled to disaster recovery site for on-site support on weekends.
Provided Help Desk functions supporting internal and external customers.
Monitored network connections and online systems along with ensuring batch processing completed on schedule.
Performed Data Security rotation. Performed Top Secret ACID definitions, production dataset and job accesses.

Tape librarian, performing a dump as tapes were received so that record layout could be obtained.
Manual processing of all batch work, ensuring each job was processed in the correct sequence and completed
