WORK EXPERIENCE
September 2008 – February 2009
Worked as 'Supplier Quality Engineer' for Caterpillar Inc., Decatur, IL on contract. I was
responsible for all Motor Grader supplier quality issues. This is a reactive quality role primarily
responsible to keep the lines running, driving continuous improvement by inter-acting with shop
floor personnel, understanding issues, identifying root cause, supplier issues containment and
corrective action, reviewing supplier corrective actions and closing them on satisfactory progress.
Developed proficiency in using CAT Q-Net and apexon system
October 2006 – July 2008.
Worked as ‘STA Program Engineer’ for Ford Motor Company Dearborn, MI, on contract
through Aerotek / RGBSI. Supported the 2009 D385 launch team and was responsible for
exterior and electrical supplier quality issues. This involved attending daily walk around meetings
at Ford Chicago Assembly Plant and earlier at NMPDC at Allen Park, notifying suppliers of their
issues, reviewing their containment activity, following up for 8D’s, and pending/ closing the same
on acceptable progress. Prior to this assignment I was responsible for tracking APQP for 15 high
impact exterior and electrical suppliers. This involved supplier visits to review build readiness,
auditing all the relevant elements of APQP, facilitating supplier progress review meetings with
Ford and supplier team members.
August 2005 – September 2006
Worked as ‘Quality Engineer’ for IGB Automotive Ltd, a part of the Bauerhin Internal Group a
German company with headquarters near Frankfurt Germany. IGB is a design responsible tier 2
supplier of a patented seat heating system that is supplied to various automotive seating systems
manufacturers such as Lear, Johnson Controls, Intier and others. IGB also supplies the module
controlling the seat heater.

• Responsible for PPAP and IMDS submissions to customers and obtaining approvals.
• Support APQP teams as required, internally and externally.
• Investigate and resolve internal and customer quality concerns using 8D problem

poke-yoke verification, compiling corrective action report for the customer.

Worked as ‘Advanced Quality Engineer’ at Siemens VDO, Engine Actuators, Air and Emission
Management Division, Chatham, Ontario for a 5 month contract, ‘Quality Engineer’ at Clover Tool
Manufacturing Ltd, Concord, Ontario a tier 2 automotive supplier of stamped and welded
components for 3 months, Quality Leader at Progressive Molded Products Inc., St. Joseph,
Missouri a facility that built injection molded console assemblies/trim parts for 2 months.
March 2000 – February 2004
Worked as ‘Quality Engineer’ for Schukra of North America, a part of the Leggett & Platt
Automotive Group a U.S. Fortune 500 Company. Was promoted to this position in March 2000.
Schukra is a design responsible tier 2 supplier of a patented lumbar support system that is
supplied to various automotive seating systems manufacturers such as Lear, Johnson Controls,
Magna & Visteon and others. Schukra is the market leader for lumbar support systems. Schukra
also supplies the knob/handle (interior trim part) for actuating the lumbar. Completely
responsible for most of Schukra’s Lear- GM Division and Visteon programs for all aspects of
quality. Programs handled include GMT 800, Hummer, GMT 900, GMX367, U222, U228, FN145,
FN74, GMT250, H Car. Major plants dealt with include Lear plants Rochester Hills, Fenton, Ajax,
Janesville, Arlington, Silao, Hammond and Windsor, JCI plants Ossian, Ramos and Shreveport.
March 1999 – March 2000
Worked as ‘Customer Liaison’ for Schukra of North America. Was responsible for maintaining
good relationship with all Schukra customer quality contacts.

• Visited quarterly approximately 35 customer plants of Johnson Controls, Lear, Magna,
Visteon and others in the U.S.A., Canada and Mexico. Prepare visit reports for Director
of Quality with copies to all Directors/Key Managers.

Worked as Senior Executive (Parts) at Suhail & Saud Bahwan, a large Toyota distributor in the
Middle East. Was promoted to this position in 1993. Was sent in 1998 on a trip to Toyota
Motor Corporation, Japan to better understand Toyota systems and kaizen
implementation. Worked in the area of parts management at the corporate office of this one
billion USD company and responsibilities included primarily inventory control, pricing,
warranty parts analysis, efficient parts storage and distribution.

Worked as a ‘Parts Executive’ in Kinetic Engineering Ltd., Pune, India. Kinetic Engineering is one
of India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturers. The well-known brands in India manufactured
by the Kinetic group are the Luna moped and the Kinetic Honda Scooter.

Worked as a Sales Engineer in Cobit Engineering Pvt. Ltd., Bombay (2.5 yrs) promoting sale of
conveyor systems in India and worked at Marshall Sons India Ltd., Bombay (1.5 yrs) promoting
