-Treasurer of the directive table of the Mechanical Engineering Administration Student

Alliance 2007 -2008.

-Member of the ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) 2006-present.

College projects:

-First project: This last semester of college I was the leader of the team of a project,

contesting to design and build a plastic injection machine. Every single component of

the machine was design and machinated by the team, using CNC (computer numerical

control) machinery to build the injection mold and Unigraphics software to design it.

The rest of the machinery used was a manual lathe and two different types of welding

processes. The machine was capable to produce 3 pieces per minute using a low density

polypropylene, automation and cooling system on the machine were the two facts that

allow my team to get the first place in the contest.

-Second Project: I worked with GMC (Mexico) as a member of a team designated to

investigate the properties of polymers used in the car interiors, the kind of polymers

that we studied were the ones that GMC was not sure if the supplier was providing an

accurate data base of the polymer properties.

The project was divided in three steps:

-First steps: in order to obtain the required data of flexural and tensile properties of the

polymer we needed to have a dice to be use in a die to reproduce the specimens in an

accurate and effective way. The dice was created in a CNC machine using a 1013 steel.

-Second step: After we reproduced the specimens we tested them with a universal

machine capable to apply pressure and tension an at the same time records the data

stress versus displacement.

-Third step: Having the data in our hands we plotted to identify the mechanical

properties of the material to mach them with the ones provided by the supplier.

To obtain a position in an enterprise focused in the areas of manufacturing, design and

administration; as well as secure work in a field where I will be able to apply my
