Responsible for the day to day operations, including: Production, Packaging, Extrusion, Scheduling,
Staffing, GMP’s, Audits, Sanitation and Training.
• Led a team that increased production by 42.5% and pounds per man-hour from 46lbs to an
average of 80lbs by increasing throughput rate on all the bag and bulk products while maintaining
highest quality standards to offset overhead costs.
• Reduced cleaning time by 62.5% through streamlining the process on the daily shutdown
procedure to decrease startup and shutdown time.
• Reduced labor cost by 20%.on hanging bag Snaps product while maintaining highest quality
standards by implementing a change to pre-printed cartons and replacing the labeled cases.

Lead Shift Coach, Alsip, IL (2005 to 2006)
Reported directly to head of manufacturing and was accountable for production and shift coaches on
a 3 shift operation ensuring that production schedule was viable for a work force that peaked at over
400 associates.
• Developed effective, efficient and productive shift coaches through formal and informal coaching.
• Effectively set goals for and evaluated progress of shift coaches and team leads using the
catalytic coaching procedure.

• Oversaw the training program for 60 operators for a new production line over a 3 shift operation.
Through careful monitoring and creative scheduling, the project was completed in half of the time
projected.
• Improved the dynamics between Maintenance and Production by holding regular meetings to
discuss and resolve interdepartmental issues and concerns.
Production Supervisor, Alsip, IL (1988 to 2005)
Responsible for supervising 80 employees, 4 line leader and 2 trainers in multiple departments which
included Extrusion, Packaging, Cooking, Blending and Panning.
• Successfully oversaw weekly personnel scheduling, production planning and material managing.
• Led the production team in the startup and implementation of two new co-manufacturing lines for
Fruit Snacks.
• Spearheaded a Scrap elimination team, which made significant improvements on equipment and
procedures, which led to lower labor costs and reduced scrap by 14%.
• Spearheaded a team and empowered them to successfully campaign for and obtained a training
class for a group of 16 employees composed of Operators, Mechanics and Trainers. This led to
improved productions, reduced downtime and reduced scrap.
• Wrote and translated S. O. P’s and check-lists for most of the production lines.
• Oversaw training and evaluation program for packaging machine operator certification.
• Implemented a procedure change in the polishing department, which called for less syrup and
provided a10% savings to the company.
• Coordinated the training, for 28 associates, in the processing of a new product ahead of the
forecasted schedule in the panning department
• Implemented the operating procedures and training for a new Dry Blending department which
allowed us to reduce our blend inventory by 50%.
• Co-coordinated the installation and implementation of a continuous candy press, which increased
the output by 20% and reduced labor cost and scrap levels.
