As Manager of Accounting I manage a group of 9 accountants responsible for reconciling 300 general ledger accounts.
These are primarily bank accounts. 6 accountants are based in India and 3 in Richardson, Texas. We used PeopleSoft to
retrieve monthly accounting results and to create journal entries to clear reconciling items. We converted to Bank of
America’s General System in early 2009 and are currently transferring all accounts to Bank of America’s daily recon
system, Recon Plus Windows. We are identifying of matching criteria for each account and parallel testing each account.

Manager of Financial Reporting and Analysis
As Manager of Financial Reporting I managed the development of ongoing-periodic reporting to summarize the operating
results and performance of the Construction Lending group. This included; 1) Department performance analysis and
metrics reports to provide management visibility to department trends, opportunities for growth and weaknesses requiring
attention, 2) Forward looking reporting and modeling tools to establish targets which influenced performance and tracked
progress and visibility toward reaching goals; 3) Ad hoc reporting and analysis on new business initiatives, product

CitiCapital, Inc., Irving, Texas 2001 to 2005
Manager of Operations Accounting
I created and implemented an automated account reconciliation system for reconciling 8,000 balance sheet accounts.
This system was created from scratch by contract programmers I hired using MS SQL and VB6 coding. Previously all
these accounts were reconciled manually using Excel and Access by 20 accountants. When completed only 8 full time
accountants were needed and the majority of their time is spent researching and clearing open items. In 2005 I was
instrumental in converted these automated monthly recons to daily automated recons. I also designed and implemented
Compliance Risk and Self-Assessment Testing for our reconciliation department related with the Sarbanes-Oxley
legislation.
Business Owner 1994 to
2001
In 1994 I developed a business plan, created a marketing strategy and built a snack food distribution network with
propriety products. By 2000 this business was generating $1 million in annual revenues and was sold to my employees
who run the business today.
The Neiman Marcus Group, Inc., Dallas, Texas 1983 to 1994
Director of Construction Finance, Director of Profit Planning and Analysis and Director of General Accounting
As Director of Construction Finance I managed the corporation's capital budgeting and expenditure processes. After the
purchase of Neiman Marcus, General Cinema implemented an aggressive capital program to remodel existing store
locations and build new store locations, $300,000,000 over 5 years. My position was created to manage a Construction
Finance Department and to implement new policies and procedures for capital. As Director of Profit Planning & Analysis I
directed all activities related with the planning and forecasting processes. This included the annual Financial and Capital
Plans, a 5 year Strategic Plan and 90 day forecasts. As Director of General Accounting I was responsible for producing
the monthly corporate profit and loss statements and balance sheet and implementing many new automated systems
impacting the books for the company. I was very successful automating many accounting operations using IBM Desktop
Computers. This automation significantly improved the timeliness of monthly financial closes and report distributions.
Mobil Oil Corporation, Fairfax, Virginia and Dallas, Texas 1977 to 1983
As a Financial Analyst I analyzed and developed procedures for reporting financial data to headquarters. I evaluated the
audit performance of 6 refineries recommending improvements to refinery management and the controller. I developed

products. As a Supervisor in a regional Accounting Center I supervised a group of employees accumulating and reporting
