Intelligent Health Systems is an AS400 based hospital management software company

for small to midsized hospitals. Modules include payroll/personnel, financials, billing,

registration, pharmacy, patient management, and insurance/Medicare billing and

compliance.

Responsibilities:

Technical development and support for the mission critical hospital

software system.

Business analyst and product development and support for payroll and

billing/financial systems.

Analyzed, designed and coded billable custom modules for IHS clients

including interfaces, reporting and user enhancements.

EDI analysis, design and programming for both ISeries and .net

modules.

Analyzed, designed and coded regulatory compliance and system

enhancements for the continuing version upgrades to the IHS system.

JBR Software was an AS400 consultancy that I co-founded. We worked with large AS400

software vendors to analyze, develop and implement large ISeries projects for their

clients. We developed on our own AS400 and were certified business partners with

both Infinium (payroll/personnel and financials) and JBA (Europe’s largest AS400

manufacturing software after SAP).

Projects included:

Infinium Y2K Payroll and Financials testing for 14 Catholic Healthcare

West hospitals (Redding, California).

Maintained, supported and customized Infinium financials for Mazda

North America (Irvine, California).

Created a highly efficient automated warehouse and ship tracking

system for Elizabeth Ardon (Roanoke, Virginia) including a mechanized pick

line and shipment based order verification.

Created distribution and planning modules for the Staples commercial

division (Framingham, Massachusetts).

Y2K scheduling and reporting enhancements to JD Edwards’s software

for Sumitomo manufacturing (Carlsbad, California).

Developed EDI transaction for P.O., Invoice, Advance Ship Notice,

Hyannis, MA 1988-1993

Infinium was the premier ISeries (AS400) provider of payroll / personnel and financial

system services. At its peek Infinium had over 1500 clients, many of them in the

Fortune 1000. Infor currently develops and maintains the Infinium system.

Responsibilities included:

Product lead, analysis and programming on the Human Resource and

Financial product groups.

Recommending and implementing standards and best-practices related

to developer coding and product implementation.

Responsibilities included: project management, product direction,

requirements analysis, documentation, coding, integration and acceptance

testing.

Created interfaces for machine recording and control devices.

Programmer, Dynamic Control

Orlando, FL 1984-1988

Dynamic Control was a hospital software company with over 400 employees. It was

purchased by Travenol Labs who then sold it to Baxter International. I was accepted

into their prestigious training program for the System 38. This program trained over

one hundred RPG programmers in the mid to late 1980’s and was the largest of its kind.

Responsibilities included:

New hospital installation, modifications and implementation of the

commercial hospital software package HPMS.

Implemented rollback data functionality to the payroll and financial

systems
