Manager, Global Network Operations

Directed the Global network operations resource, consisting of Network, Voice, and Security Operations for

140 sites located in 27 countries with an annual cost center budget of $12M within a $5.7 billion company.

This included level 2 support covering WAN / LAN infrastructure, Voice Systems, Security Operations and

Telecom Invoice Processing.

• Saved $250,000 in WAN costs by managing vendor relationships, measuring service deliverables and

negotiating contracts.

• Improved system uptime from 85% to 98% by migrating the global WAN to MPLS for 90 locations

over a one year period.

• Achieved annual cost savings of $80K through converting the secondary WAN from ISDN to

Broadband services for domestic and international sites.

• Managed infrastructure project to ensure successful migration to SAP from legacy systems on time

and within budget.

• Conducted Security Program Assessment to determine risk profile and to identify risks associated with

(IP) intellectual property, physical and network security / intrusion.

• Realized a savings of over $400K by streaming the invoice processing cycle, which reduced late

payment fees, increased control of assets and gained greater visibility with telecommunications spend.

Consultant – The Timken Company

Conducted the Data / Voice network integration during the acquisition of Torrington, a $900K bearing

company with the Timken Company, including: Telecom cost control, vendor management, consolidating

telecom networks and performing contract reviews.

• Achieved cost savings of $430K during a two year period by reviewing Telecom contracts and

creating national agreements with service providers.

• Hired and promoted to position of Manager, Global Network Operations.

AMTRUST BANK (OHIO SAVINGS BANK), Cleveland, OH 1997 – 2002

Telecommunications Manager 1998 – 2002

Established the technical resource and telephony infrastructure of this $9 billion dollar corporation with a

annual department budget of $3M. Administered the supervision, recruitment and staffing of 5 professionals

and 7 outside contractors.

• Realized annual savings of $900K, during a two-year period, by developing a Voice Services RFP and

changing service providers to improve pricing.

• Provided a Web-enable platform for implementing Voice over IP, E-Mail and Chat.

• Eliminated the additional cost of separate circuits and long distance charges by implementing Voice

over IP at remote Customer Contact Centers.

• Spearheaded a construction project of a $1.1M, state of the art computer facility located at corporate

headquarters.

• Featured in VAR Business magazine for Ohio Savings Data Network migration Project.
