e xplored, including transferring data from SAP BW into Teradata where the dimensional structure of

t he data is better s uited for high performance BI.

A nalyze and benchmark existing SAP BW reports written with BEX, including creating

d atabase traces that would allow us to understand specific points of r esource usage.

C reate reports com parable in content to the BEX queries using report metadata created

d irectly on top of SAP BW Info Providers and compare contents and database traces to

u nderstand resource usage.

U se ETL processes using Data Manager 8.2 to transform flat file extracts tak en from SAP BW

i nto a format suitable for the creation of a Cognos PowerCube and author reports in Analysis

S tudio 8.2.

P repare documentation providing granular detail of three different approaches and processes

i nvolved with preparing each for user intera ction.

C reate reporting metadata against Teradata database for different approaches to reporting

D eveloped flat file format used by Statistics Canada to prepare raw data file of national

m atched the format of the original APL reports (i.e. An Excel f ile containing 40 references to

t he LFS Reports cube requires approximately 90 seconds to automatically refresh against the

l atest build of the cube versus approximately 2 hours to run the same independent queries in

I mpromptu.).

I nfrastructure Partnership Program Reporting System (IIPPRS). The goal of the IIPPRS project was to
