Dear Sir/Madam:
I am an innovative film, video and web production management professional with more than 20 years of
experience. I am currently seeking new opportunities in a senior-level production management capacity. My
background includes total oversight of film and video production, including AICP/AICE budgeting, studio and
location shooting, set design, music selection, animation, graphics, voice-overs, and talent and crew management.
I also have extensive experience supervising all facets of post-production. I have been recognized for establishing
and implementing creative strategies that consistently met tight budgetary and scheduling challenges while
maintaining the highest production values.
I have served as Senior Manager of Video Production, Broadcast, and Retail Training and Vice President and
Director of Production, Shows and Events for BBDO Detroit; Executive Producer for Ross Roy; and Senior
Producer and Facilities Coordinator for Maritz Communications. Notable achievements include:
• Producing 3 hours of video for a new interactive, in-dealership, high-definition video program showcasing 28
Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge brand vehicles.
• Organizing the videotaping of Chrysler Employee Vehicle Immersion Day for the new Challenger vehicle,
including oversight of 6 location crews, 4 in-car cameras, and 2 on-site video crews with onsite editing.
• Spearheading and serving as Executive Video Producer for 2 national consumer brand mobile marketing
events (Dodge City and Jeep Mobile Marketing Tour), featuring 28 video elements, a NASCAR simulator video,
and interactive video components.
• Producing more than 20 high-end corporate and promotional films that won numerous regional, national, and
international awards.
I have demonstrated my ability to adapt to changing circumstances, as evidenced by the paradigm shift in
employee training programs to interactive web-based formats. I was able to research new technologies, tailor our
programs to maximize our use of them, and train both in-house staff and freelance Producers in the effective use of
these new methods. In consequence, we were able to meet the changing needs of our clients effectively, while
saving them $250,000 annually.
Please accept this letter and the attached resume as an introduction to my professional experiences and
achievements. I welcome the opportunity to meet with you in person to discuss how my expertise in video/audio/film
and still production, account and staff management, proposal development, product launches, and vendor relations
will add value to your company. Until then, thank you for your time. I look forward to speaking with you soon.
Sincerely,
Cynthia L. Thompson
