HIGHTLIGHT
Developed key technologies for commercializing brominated polystyrenic flame-
retardants for styrenics and other polymer systems. Synthesized several promising
P-based flame-retardants for printed wiring board applications.
Commercialized two high-performance polymers (poly ether ether ketone and
poly ether ether ketone ketone) and related monomers in China.(Degussa bought
this technique in 2004, see details on C&EN, pg. 12, Dec. 13, 2004)
Have strong experience in synthesizing monomers and polymers from lab
investigation to pilot operation. Expert in synthesis and characterization of
polyester, nylon etc. thermoplastics and waterborne, solventborne arcylic, epoxy,
urethane coating and adhesive.
Published about 40 journal papers, 10 conference papers or abstracts. Gave 10
presentations and had 5 patents. Directed two projects with the funding of 1
million Chinese Yuan (0.12 million US dollars).
