ICTV Inc. is a player in the digital video industry. The company’s product mixes Web video
and interactive programming with broadcast streams and advertising into personalized
programming for viewers. The company also builds some of the hardware used on the
headend.
ICTV Inc.’s two main products, HEW 5.1 and AVDN 1.0, are built on the .NET framework.
The content creation tool, ActiveVideo Editor 1.0, is built using C++ and JavaScript. The
products are targeted at TV content programmers and cable operators.
The documentation produced is mainly for technical personnel to install and configure the
system at the customer site. The online help, built into AVE, is targeted at the content
programmers and includes guidelines on using JavaScript for programming.
