Financial Consultant to Xerox Forward Products groups in the Xerographic Module Delivery

Unit. Controller for 20 Budget Centers. Focus was to repair spending and purchasing trends,

while positively effecting time to launch for new products.

Planning duties consisted of the following:

•Create Annual Plan based on goals & targets for Research, Development, Engineering and

manufacturing Support programs.

•Construction of data to create the standards for the direct material cost of the modules for the

coming year.

•Create Capital Plan all based on goals & targets for all areas.

•Formulate, analyze and present Quarterly Outlooks for all groups to senior management.

•Strategy Contract Assistance to operations group.

Worked jointly with the various engineering groups outside the United States, in Mexico and

Holland, to integrate and combine our annual budgets and driving them to meet strict monthly

spend targets.

Consolidated monthly reviews and analysis on all budget centers, making any required journal

entries to ledger.

Financial review and final signature release on all purchase orders for the organization.

Focused on analyzing cost cutting methods utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools for new products

while maintaining sensitivity for time to market product development timelines.

Cost tracking and analysis of freight on customer returnable units as they come back from the

field. Working with operations, was able to eliminate almost 1 million dollars in return cost by

auditing field returns and removing unprofitable units from the return stream.

Consulted on important supplier selection and major tooling procurement decisions.

Maintained, controlled and managed fixed assets and capital spend for the organization,

totaling over 30 million dollars. Responsible for forecasting tooling depreciation expense cost.

Undertook modernization of the operations group’s tooling data base, upgrading both the

inputs and outputs, rendering a much more usable end product. Reduced amount of capital in

process thus rendering a truer picture each month of actual capital spend.
