Director, Infrastructure Integration Services (2006-Present)

Administer development of multi-disciplinary infrastructure solutions based on requirements in alignment with corporate

IT/business strategies. Oversee financial cost and impact of new solutions. Align new and current solutions to meet

changing strategies. Manage services transitions in support of projects. Lead deployment of server, storage, and network

infrastructure solutions in support of IT initiatives. Assist department head in developing and maintaining sound enterprise

infrastructure strategy. Function as liaison between project teams (business, software developers, Q.A, IBM and HP

managed services) and infrastructure operation groups (server, storage, network, firewall, security and IBM mainframe).

messaging transport layer update and sendmail replacement project; implemented solution that replaced antiquated

sendmail solution with Microsoft solution.

• Led $3M+ project to build out new infrastructure for $2.5B revenue-generating web channel as Solution Delivery

• Championed $10M trusted zones project as Infrastructure Communication Technology Design & Delivery Manager

and Integration/Technical Lead; ensured PCI/SOX compliance for $135M SOA project.

• Spearheaded $1M+ data center move project as Infrastructure Communication Technology Solution Delivery

Manager; designed datacenter physical layout, power distribution, LAN and WAN network cabling tray’s and SAN

fiber distribution patch panels for 200+ servers, EMC DMX 3000 / multiple EMC CLARiiON storage array’s,

documented, coordinated, and migrated 44 major applications from existing datacenter to co-located center in

Houston, Texas. Implemented IBM Enterprise tape library for backup and recovery solution, SRDF/A over dual OC3

links to remote data center in Braintree, Massachusetts for disaster recovery.

• Played integral role in $10M tradewinds initiative for designing and building co-located datacenter from ground up to

support $135M SOA “Valhalla” project to replace central hotel reservation system.

• Realized $55K in savings through converting VeriSign Premium SSL into standard SSL certification.

• Directed cross-functional operations teams, consisting of server, storage, and database administrator from internal

and managed services vendors.

• Consolidated multiple property application development environments into VMWARE ESX 3.5 environment on 10

physical HP Proliant DL585 boxes for a consolidation ratio of 10:1 improving productivity and brought in-house the

systems management expertise for this infrastructure, reducing annual managed services operational cost by

$500,000.

• Designed and implemented Solaris Zones/Containers based virtual Q.A/integration environment to support “Valhalla”

application development and off-shore testing.

Manager, Enterprise Infrastructure Projects (2004-2006)

• Headed multiple 500K datacenter server farm renovations, physical/logical design’s and implementations, migrating

existing hardware to other data center locations, decommissioning obsolete custom racks, and coordinating

procurement and installation of network and fiber cabling and switches for new high-density 42U racks, installation /

upgrade of uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), in-line power generators and power distribution units (PDU).

• Led $1M+ project to build out new server farm infrastructure for $2.5B revenue-generating web channel utilizing

global server load balancing high availability solution between Braintree, Massachusetts and Houston, Texas data

centers as Infrastructure Communication Technology Lead.

• Directed $3M E10K Offload initiative as Infrastructure Communication Technology Lead for server and EMC storage

design, hardware sizing, procurement, installation, and configuration of several HP MC/service guard Oracle

database environments and migrations from existing platforms.

• Spearheaded Starwood corporate portal refresh initiative, managing server, storage, and network design, hardware

sizing, procurement, installation, and configuration of high-availability VERTIAS cluster environment for Oracle 9iAS

portal application and database environments; migrated Starwood corporate portal “StarwoodONE” to new

infrastructure.

Unix Administrator (2002-2004)

• Reduced annual maintenance costs $500K through consolidating various Sun maintenance contracts, negotiating

better discount structure, and eliminating maintenance for unwanted hardware.

• Slashed maintenance costs $100K by integrating various VERTIAS software maintenance contracts.

• Established nightly business continuity volume (BCV) backup on EMC storage by migrating Starwood corporate

portal from IBM storage to EMC storage.
