Senior Manufacturing Technician - Ascent Solar, CO 01/09 - present

Repair and maintain 5 thin-film roll to roll CdS deposition machines where uptime and

quality goals are met. Use electrical schematics and chemical plans to troubleshoot and

repair. Upgrade mechanical and software applications to increase efficiency and

throughput. Support engineering projects and R&D developments in effort to streamline

process and increase yield and efficiency.

Field Service Engineer – Hamatech/ STANGL Solar USA, 9/05 to 07/08

Installed Thin-film PV process equipment and assisted in the development of a cadmium

sulfate process. Participated in the design of prototype thin-film roll to roll process

applications and technologies. Installed wafer, photomask, solar process equipment at

customer sites worldwide ensuring time-frame, quality and customer acceptance goals

were met. Addressed customer requests for equipment service, upgrades, repairs and

training. Provided continuous on-site service and phone support for global customers.

Installed software upgrades and maintained backups.

Field Service Engineer - SEZ America, 7/03 - 9/05 Participated in installing and servicing

chemical process etchers at major Fabs. Troubleshot, maintained and repaired etchers

using schematics and manuals, within teams and independently. Presented process and

service data to customers at weekly communication meetings as well as participated in

problem solving teams and development projects.

Field Service Engineer –Santa Clara Plastics 11/00 – 7/03

Provided customer service to world class semiconductor facility in Austin, TX. Provided

on-site service installing, repairing and maintaining wet-etchers. Contributed to customer

yield enhancement team.

Field Service Technician - Air Products and Chemical 6/99 – 11/00

Installed gas cylinders and bulk chemical drums, performed preventive and unscheduled

maintenance on FSI chemical dispense units and Praxair, and Air Products gas delivery

panels, HAZMAT trained and certified. Maintained bulk facility N2, Ar, O2 and H2.

Experience with thin-film PV, Cadmium Sulfate, (CIGS) electronics, multi-axis robots,

servo/ stepper motors, chemicals, gasses, re-circulating, static and heated tanks.

ISO9000, CANBUS, Siemens Profibus controllers, lean process, Six Sigma, and Statistical

Process Control. Good analytical, mechanical and troubleshooting abilities. Effective

communicator. Experience with facilities engineering.
