Senior Planner Responsible for planning, purchase req. creation, procuring

and aligning delivery dates for all machine shop, electrical/mechanical, plastic,

chemical, and packaging requirements per self generated gross requirements

report. Also responsible for scheduling and releasing internal work orders based

on material delivery and customer need dates. Additional responsibility included

planning custom assemblies and high value large scale systems. Acted as main

interface between SensAble and outside customer on the development and

delivery of a jointly developed turnkey system. Responsible for maintaining

current as well as future inventory based on forecasting from Sales, Marketing,

and past usage analysis. Reduced raw material inventory 20% in first 6 months.

Responsible for disposition of discrepant material, support for new product

development, BOM creation/maintenance, and import/export of raw material and

finished goods. Supply base was located domestically and internationally (EU,

China).

6/05 – 6/07 Fine Pitch Wilmington, MA

Senior Planner/NPI Program Mgr. Responsible for entering, planning and

scheduling high dollar and NPI workflow through entire manufacturing process in

order to meet customer need dates. Also responsible for the successful

transition from NPI to full production status. Work activities included entering and

maintaining product BOMs, sales orders, identifying projected bottlenecks and

delays due to manufacturing constraints or delayed supplier shipments, and

developing mitigation plans. If necessary, reschedule dates were calculated and

relayed to the customers. Also responsible for working in conjunction with

Purchasing on expediting supplier deliveries or identifying alternate sources in

support of internal build schedules. Improved on time customer deliveries from

10% to 85% in first year of operation. Program Mgr. responsibility entailed

ensuring a successful working relationship between Fine Pitch and an outside

circuit board manufacturing subcontractor. Activities included soliciting RFQ’s,

invoice resolution, schedule maintenance, part shortage mitigation, and customer

prioritization. Program Mgr. responsibility also included acting as prime interface

between top level outside customer and Fine Pitch. Responsible for

communicating program status to customer and internal Management, monitoring

3/00 – 6/05 Teradyne North Reading, MA

Senior Buyer Responsible for analyzing the MRP system output and aligning supplier

delivery schedules with Teradyne material requirements. Also responsible for managing

inventory levels and establishing inventory and commodity strategies in conjunction with

Supply Chain Management. Work activities included order placement, part shortage

resolution, addressing receiving and accounts payable issues, as well as processing

discrepant supplier material. Providing guidance for junior members of the purchasing staff

was an additional requirement of this position.

6/94 - 2/00 Cabletron Systems Rochester, NH

Program Manager The lead interface managing all aspects of interaction

between Cabletron and outside Material Service Providers. Responsible for

planning and implementing an inventory reduction / point of use replenishment

system. This implementation included setting goals, establishing commit dates,

identifying dependencies, tracking results and escalating issues as necessary.

Also responsible for the complete outsourcing of Cabletron’s internal cable

assembly operation. This effort included identifying global suppliers, part

number reduction, and coordinating internal phase out with external supply

phase in. Results achieved included reducing the cable part number base by

over 13,000 and providing an overall cost savings of approximately 10%.

Component Engineer Key Purchasing resource on technical issues internally and

externally. Required to interface with Design, Manufacturing, New Product Introduction

Engineering and suppliers. Work with internal and external teams to reduce product cost

while ensuring product performance and reliability consistent with the requirements of

Cabletron routers, switches and hubs. Evaluate and recommend new suppliers and

technologies. Perform failure analysis when required and implement solutions to eliminate

confirmed defects.

Responsible for power supplies, cable assemblies, and interconnect.

Instituted cost savings of over two million dollars.

Introduced new cable assembly to manufacturing which resulted in sales

exceeding 1 million dollars.

Buyer/Supervisor Responsibilities included the formulation and execution of

an overall business procurement plan with respect to assigned commodities in

order to meet or exceed corporate costing goals and objectives. Conduct supplier

meetings as required. Lead commodity team, develop strategy, supplier profiles

and market overviews. Commodity base included: power supplies, interconnect,

fiber optic products, cable assemblies, and back plane assemblies.
