Strategic Sourcing Manager – Americas, Indirect Materials & Services (Lincolnshire, IL)
Responsible for instituting formal business programs around 3rd party expense management focusing on cost
controls, risk mitigation, and supplier governance. Direct spend management of over $100 Million across 13
sites in spend areas such as Freight, IT, Capital Equipment, MRO, Facilities, Marketing and Services.
• Driving a personal goal of $2M in cost improvements in 2009 with above goal performance year-to-date.

company’s estimated $150 Million spend in North America in the areas of MRO (Maintenance, Repair &
Operating) Supplies; Capital Investments (Equipment and Assets); and Contracted Services such as security,
construction, consultants, architects and janitorial services.
• Derived savings of over $900,000 in 2006 by developing new and existing Integrated Supply relationships
across eight major manufacturing locations – spend through this supply base of over $15 Million.
• Lead efforts in converting all welding plant locations to a consolidated source for welding wire – a project
with a target savings realization of over $380,000.
• Generated over $2.6 Million for 2006 in Cost Avoidance by conducting bids on major equipment and
service contracts while maintaining a focus on manufacturing process, quality, and after-sales support.
• Forged national relationships with international equipment manufacturers in the fields of welding, metal

employee productivity and safety, cost reduction programs, energy management solutions and e-business
system integration.

• Sales of over 9% in 2004, driven through customer partnerships and solutions selling.

recognized as the #2 branch in the region in 2003 for sales performance (region of over 90 branches).

Customer Service Manager (Syracuse, NY) 2001 – 2002
Responsible for increasing branch performance in conjunction with the Branch Manager. Jointly managed 18

performance levels in a call center environment, maximizing opportunity and sales by leading a team in
redesigning the customer and inventory flow models for the facility, conducting quarterly employee
development planning sessions, and serving as the E-commerce subject matter expert for the market.
