Resume in .doc form.
My career goals for the next few years:
I want to lead the development of state-of-the-art web-based applications that are media rich. This of
course means Flex, Flash and ActionScript at the client and Java at the server. The convergence of
television and the web has been much slower than expected. I am certain that the potential of the web
will grow with this convergence. The web offers hyper non-linear access to information and
entertainment allowing consumer control. Breakthroughs in search and navigation; rich content
authoring tools; and the development of real, practical agents will meld with the seamless linear content
of television. I see the importance and potential of this convergence and my goal is to be a part of that
realization.

groups, and often lead the tight coupling and teamwork that occurs between the groups.
I have delivered numerous developments in both infrastructure and in micro-site
applications as well as maintaining publishing operations.
• CGI site development projects
• The MiLife developers program a monolithic CGI program with complex
functionality. A separate and protected CGI script handles administration tasks.
• The Business Partner Locator provides database searches based on name,
location and other parameters. A separate administration tool provides browsing
and editing of the database.
• The Contact Us site and How To Buy sites are the central, focal point for
requests, comments, complaints and other communications. This feeds both the
executive office feedback organization .

• Automated staging, validation and publishing process

content to be staged for publishing.
• Staging process: The staging process Perl script (with cron) does a secure
network copy of new content and performs HTML validation, in preparation for
publishing.
• Infrastructure projects
• LDAP project was a development of transparent wrappers enabling a
conventional registration site interface to LDAP.

interruption, to SUN computers.

• Manage all extranet sites. The nine extranets sites constitute the most complex
applications residing on www.lucent.com. Responsibilities include installing and
administrating of CGI scripts, webserver authentication and file system access
control. The CGI scripts typically require site customization and they receive a
rigorous security review. Additional crons/CGIs for extranets with special server,
mailback or registration requirements are developed.
• Technical Lead and Customer Care for the Microelectronics business unit on
www.lucent.com. Microelectronics is the second largest business unit of Lucent.
• Develop special event sites requiring custom security, authentication or
registration. A conference site was developed containing four programs. The first
created CGI based forms from a CGI. It had required, required excluded and
conditionally required fields. It collected and encrypted registration data,
including credit cards. The second script created registration confirmation email.
A third program provided the administration access for transmission of the
encrypted registration data. The fourth program reformatted and loaded the data
into an Excel spreadsheet.

employee phone store. Created and maintained Lucent remote access site. Created
