Project Title : Notes Migration to SharePoint

The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G), together with its subsidiaries, provides branded consumer

goods products worldwide. The company has a huge collection of Lotus Notes databases which

were migrated to Microsoft SharePoint

Description:

HCL Intranet Portal contains various team sites based on MOSS-2007 as well as SPS-2003. We

have Site Collection for SWAT Portal (For Corporate Marketing and Strategy Team),Contract

Management Portal (For Finance and Legal Team),CORP/GEO HR Portal (for Corporate and

GEO HR Team),Supplier Portal (For Admin and Finance Team).

HR Connect: This site is widely used by the HR personals of HCL spread through out the various

GEO locations. In this site we have integrated different ASP.Net Applications and SQL Server.

Women First: This is a new initiative for the women working for HCL. In this application we have

used all the collaborative features of MOSS 2007. Various surveys using the MOSS 2007 surveyAll

these team site collection have inbuilt features of MOSS/SPS like discussion board/ customized look and

feel/ Team wise access restriction.These sites also have a custom web part, customized look and feel,

integration with SAP, custom workflows like features

This project was done using the IP/VPN technology to support the MultiVPN functionality for

TeliaSonera’s customers. The overall workflow of the application was to receive VPN connection

requests from customers out of the various services offered by TeliaSonera. The customer request is

then processed by network engineers, and the VPN site is built per the details received from

customers.

inventory. This project was recognized and won the first place in TechForum, France organized by

Wipro worldwide.

Hutchison3g is a worldwide leader in Telecom services. In Drive Test, data is collected to view the

network from the perspective of its subscribers. Drive Test utilizes hardware/software for recording

detailed performance data from a handset and/or RF scanner controlled by software. The data is used

for network optimization, maintenance and influences network planning (rollout/design). The data is

used by radio design and radio optimization teams in H3G. So the data will be stored in their Laptops

which may in the risk of loss of data . To avoid this, an inventory was provided to store the data.

Hutchison3g is a worldwide leader in Telecom services. The project is aimed at configuring and

managing a network element. Network Parameters System NPS, Network Equipment System NEP are

bespoke web-based application built using Java, J2EE and Struts framework. It supports the

generation of network element data builds. Based on the resident equipment and the nature of how it

is required to operate, NPS collates all the necessary planning information and generates the data

build for loading onto the network elements, either by a 3rd party or Operations. NEP is an Inventory

system in which it contains the details of Equipment in network.

Project Title : Automation of installer software

Client : SUN Microsystems, India

The project was to automate the installer for SUN-Proxy server and SUN- Appserver. Automation was

conducted in three modes: GUI mode, Command Prompt and Silent mode. Testing was automated

using the two tools called “Expect and Jemmy”. Expect was similar to shell scripts and Jemmy was a

normal java code. Expect and Jemmy were a part of TCL/TK.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of test cases for different environments such as Linux, Windows, Solaris

and Sparc.

• Test automation.

• Planning test data requirements and setting them up in the test environment

• Execution of testcases, reporting defects, and track them using Test Director

• Maintaining the test suites and test folders in the Test Director.

• Work with the team lead in managing and leading test efforts.

Project Title : Customer Management Application

Client : Jalaseva Kendra, Bangalore India

Period : Jul ’03 – Mar ’04

Role : Project Engineer

This application was developed for Jalaseva Corporation used for providing valuable information to

farmers in choosing right kind of agricultural equipments. Using this application, Jalaseva agents

would provide information regarding the nearest dealers from whom farmers could acquire suitable

equipments for the agricultural purposes. The application also had functionalities that would help

farmers save money by helping them chose the equipment that would best fit their need.

Responsibilities:

• Coding and unit testing

• Designing web based GUIs for end users using JSP/Servlets that are part of Model-

View-Controller design pattern.
