PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
DENSO MANUFACTURING MICHIGAN INC., Battle Creek, MI • 2005-2009
A global company with over 250,000 employees; manufactures the heating and cooling systems for vehicles (Radiators,
Condensers, H-VACs, Evaporators, etc. )
ENGINEER (ROTATIONAL CO-OP): Formulated and devised programs, plans, and strategies to
streamline redundant processes, re-engineering operations, and innovate equipment on assembly lines.
Collaborated and supported engineering and production teams with the seamless execution of numerous
Kiazen projects. Secured resources to finalize product testing and build events. Created and designed jigs
and fixtures for NPI and prototypes. Administered line studies.
Key Accomplishments:
Championed initiatives to reduce scrap to <0.25% by liaising with production team and identifying
improvements.
Documented and facilitated testing for a 1 year project that implemented a second source material for
condenser fins, realizing on-going site production while first source was redundant.
Spearheaded operations to research, assess, and evaluate cost savings activities; generating $19K by
identifying retooling of connector caulk processes.
Evaluated space usage by assessing current and future requirements; secured 7,500 sq. ft by
engineering layout improvements.
Slashed inefficiencies by reengineering associate ratios on the condenser assembly line.
Lowered cycle time by 9 seconds by developing flow racks that streamlined processes and increase
productivity.
Generated 25% in savings by reducing resources through the implementation of a machine and work
balance improvement program.
