Projects

Digital Asset Library (DAL) Project: DAL is a web based repository for self contained assets with

images and XML tagged dynamic Content.

Admin tool: The application was built to accomplish the administrative tasks of Digital Asset Library

application. Tool was developed to create various Business Units, manage Control Vocabulary, manage

users, manage Pre-ingestion tables, managing Service announcements and application unavailability,

reprocessing of assets through Mark Logic and Alchemy etc.

Content Server Migration: Migration of DAL repository from 5.3 to 6.5 and from Solaris platform to

Linux.

Metadata Ingestion Tool: Designed and developed a web based tool to ingest meta-data information

to DAL.

Coursesmart: A web based application which allows to access digital course materials from five higher

education textbook publishers. The identified titles from McGraw-Hill Higher Education business units

were fed into Coursesmart from DAL on Demand.

DAL-PRIMIS: Integration of Digital Asset Library with PRIMIS.nxt, an online McGraw-Hill Education

(MHE) eBook store (www.primisonline.com) which allows creating a custom printed book or downloading

an eBook.

Grow Network Migration: Migration of content from an entire MHE business unit from Oracle Content

Management System to a DAL repository.

S&P Financial Group Migration : Migration of content from Finanical group (Standard and Poor’s) to

DAL Repository by creating a new docbase and upgrade from 4i to 5.2.5.

administration and support of a Global Document Management System (GDMS). The System automates

workflow processes for validating, and processing of the data and dossier associated with drug approval.

It is used by multiple business units within the organization. The system was developed for creating,

reviewing, managing and storing the documents and finally submitting the approved documents to FDA.

The system is developed based on Documentum and ECM related products.

Project

Medical Information Documents (MI): LifeScan is a Johnson & Johnson company specializing in

healthcare products. LifeScan is responsible for some major breakthroughs in blood glucose monitoring

systems. Document Management system is LifeScan’s Electronic Repository and content management

solution based on Documentum 5i. The objective of this system is to simplify the process of storing and

retrieving Medical Information Documents for the Therapeutic team. Role based security for the

documents along with additional customizations were implemented on the WebTop layer.

Environment: Documentum eContent Server 4.2, Developer studio, Tomcat, Desktop client 4.2,

WebCache, AutoRender, XML, XSL, XSLT, Sun Solaris 8.

Responsibilities:

• Involved in designing the functional specification as well as design documents for the entire system.

• Wrote scripts in Java that automatically populated the Documentum docbase.

• Created users, groups, alias sets, ACL’s and various Documentum objects during the development.

• Developed custom administrative tools and scripts (using the Documentum server API) as required to

support system maintenance and administrative tasks.

approval authority). The system has automatic generation of purchase orders (for approval) as and when
