WORK EXPERIENCE
April 2006 to Shaw Inc. Nuclear Division, Project Controls Manager/Assistant Project Manager
June 2009 Developed, integrated and analyzed the engineering/design schedule deliverables to
support the AREVA Eagle Rock Enrichment Facility Project schedule to support the COLA
submittal to the NRC. The schedule tool of choice for this effort was agreed to be
Primavera Project Planner P6. Both the client and design responsible party agreed that by
implementing P6 the project could be more expediently monitored by all parties in order to
meet the deliverables to the NRC. The schedule proved successful and detailed design and
engineering was initiated in P6. These were for the sections that applied for
engineering/design in the Environmental Report (ER), Safety Analysis Report (SAR) and
the Integrated Safety Analysis Report (ISA). Supported each discipline weekly for updates
and reporting to the Client once the integration of all parties was completed. Weekly
reports included schedule information from Primavera as well as written reports by
discipline, any outstanding correspondence for clarification of questions and status of
Project Management in the Engineering Group. Once the COLA information was compiled
and submitted the concerted effort to develop the engineering and design schedule
execution was developed, released for review, approved and incorporated into the integrated
schedule with the AREVA activities.
Shaw - Stone & Webster Inc. Nuclear Division, Project Controls Engineer
Developed the initial engineering and design schedule for the LES Nuclear Enrichment
Facility utilizing Primavera System tools. The schedule included all deliverables to support
construction such as specifications, drawings, equipment lists, submittals to licensing and
the NRC, building completion of engineering/design and support the plant on line date and
was detailed further as the project progressed. The schedule was developed,
executed and monitored initially with Primavera Project Planner version P5. After the
initial development a concerted effort was extended by all parties to convert the integrated
plan into P6 and move forward from that point. The P6 schedule was executed successfully
to the completion of the project. Worked closely with the owners scheduler so that impacts
were mitigated early in the process to avoid potential slips. Once the construction
management was awarded the focus remained the same however, an Integrated Project
Schedule (IPS) was planned and executed by the construction management team. Monthly
meetings support and weekly updates were provided for integration and analysis of the IPS
to review the interdependencies and logic flow compared to the actual construction progress
on site against the plan for the Facility on line date.
July 2005 to ALSTOM Transportation - Senior Project Scheduler - MARTA Project
April 2006 Provide project controls, planning and scheduling and analytical support to the MARTA
refurbishment project. Duties included utilizing P3e/c software usage to continually
monitor, develop and analyze the project schedule in order to mitigate any potential impact
to production or deliverables.
January 2005 to Various Contract Positions - Senior Project Controls Manager
July 2005 Provided project controls experience, support and training to the oil refining business and
petroleum industries. Support for new installations, refurbishments and turnarounds of
product development units for consumer use of petroleum products. Hands on development
of schedules, earned value methodologies, resource allocation and analysis of critical
area’s utilizing Primavera suite of tools. Disciplines included mechanical piping systems,
electrical, instrumentation, module builds and final commissioning of system based utilities
and services.
July 2004 to ALSTOM Transportation - Senior Project Controls Scheduler
December 2004 Contract assignment within the “Tenders” group to provide detailed analysis, development
of schedules, review of RFP’s, and incorporation of all potential customer requirements for
scheduling information utilized Primavera software (P3e/c) on an enterprise based system.
Interface and working relationships throughout the organization included, procurement
services, purchasing bid analysis of vendors, engineering, design, production, material
handling, warehousing and material commissioning and training of customers final
deliverable.
August 2002 Hake Group, A Matrix Service Group Of Companies – Project Controls Manager
to May 2004 Provide project controls expertise to existing and new projects in the form of implementing
the tracking systems for successful completion. Systems include detailed schedules, earned
value reporting for quantities installed, performance productivity analysis, adherence to
implemented systems by performance of project audits. Support across companies with bid
analysis and development, schedule development based on bid documents and company
estimates for submittal to award. Also responsible for interviewing, qualifying, and
submitting other project controls professionals ultimately hired to monitor the projects at
the project work site. Assisted a petrochemical refining client with pre-turnaround,
turnaround and post turnaround schedule analysis and development to ensure a timely and
cost efficient success for a new unit and several upgrades. Other duties include but not
limited to invoice approval, financial strength of projects, change management, cost
control, monthly project cost analysis with project managers and review/approval of
accounting metrics in place for lump sum and T&M projects.
April 2002 Yonkers Industries, Inc. – Project Controls Manager
to July 2002 Temporary assignment to provide schedule analysis and support for a major client. Position
became obsolete after some financial difficulties on the clients part and rumors of pending
sale in the market place.
March 2001 Johnson Controls, Inc. – Project Controls Manager
to April 2002 Primary responsibility for leading the implementation of a Corporate Wide Enterprise
System suite of project control tools to include Primavera Project Planner Enterprise (P3e),
Expedition, Progress Reporter and Timberline estimating software. The function of the tool
set is to better enable control of projects, throughout the entire project lifecycle, which will
allow more accurate monitoring of project performance, reduce risk and tie in to existing
legacy systems which ultimately could lower overhead costs by monitoring a more closely
controlled project. In addition, the tool set enables the reduction of duration and costs
associated with individual component installation, which in turn reduces time to bid and
streamlines the Design/Build process.

March 2001 Responsible for the development, implementation, integration of Engineering and
Construction schedules, reporting, monitoring and cost analysis tracking of several major
biopharmaceutical and related technological projects. Also responsible for placement of
key project controls personnel on the project site to support these efforts, once the initial
tracking mechanisms had been put in place. The tools for monitoring these projects
consisted of Primavera Project Planner (P3), Cost Modules, Earned Value reporting,
Monthly Project Controls reports and a variety of Windows based software programs. The
Projects and Clients listed are a few of the larger projects directly supported during my
tenure with Gilbane:

was for utility upgrade and retrofit projects including Universities, Industrial Power and
Commercial applications. Bid schedules were generated on a regular basis and several
“generic” type schedule libraries were produced for ease of turnaround during critical
bidding phases. Schedule and cost analysis for ongoing projects was updated through site
walk downs and interface with responsible discipline engineers.
