EXPERIENCE
Sep 2008 to Current Middlesex Water Company
1500 Ronson Rd, Iselin, NJ 08830
I was hired to backfill in the capacity of Accounting Manager while they go through conversion from Great Plains
to oracle. I review the work of others in the department, participate in the preparation of SEC and BPU
reporting, and function as liaison with the outside auditors in addition to normal GL close processes and
reporting.
Apr 2007 to Aug 2008 North East Linen Supply Co., Inc. – Linden, NJ
New England Linen Supply Co., Inc. – New Haven, CT
Corporate Controller - Responsible for all accounting and finance functions. I moved all accounting and finance
functions from New Haven, CT to Linden, NJ; hired and trained new staff. Designed and implemented a new Chart of
Accounts, and migrated from Laundry Logic to Great Plains software for GL and AP functions.

in 401k provider to reduce costs and improve investment vehicle choices.
Dec 2000 to Jun 2004 Elizabethtown Water Company
Westfield, NJ
Performance Manager (2003-2004) - Assigned to the CRM department. Performed financial analysis on CRM
activities such as performance targets, billings, and collections. Participated in ISO 9000 activities; ISO certification
achieved. Selected to be on the Balanced Scorecard Team, and then the Business Plan Team. Coordinated the generation
of customized reports with SAP programmers.
Accounting Manager (2000-2003 – provided support to Elizabethtown’s (EWC) subsidiary, Applied Water Management
(AWM). AWM is an engineering, design/build firm. I implemented a major software upgrade to Wind2 for Windows
within 3 months of starting with the firm. I effectively identified and implemented processes to enhance accounting and
billing support to AWM, enabling them to meet the accelerated monthly reporting deadlines of their new parent company,
RWE. This was particularly challenging because AWM was utilizing 3 very different software applications – SAP, ADP
and Wind2. I trained staff unfamiliar with working in a project-based environment. I analyzed the various business units
of the firm, and presented financial statistics to help analyze their ability to perform profitability. AWM moved from a

loss position in 2000 to a significant profit position in 2001, due in large part to improvements to the accounting functions
I identified and implemented.
Apr 1999 to Jul 2001 Consultant – Trading as MAG Consulting
After resigning from T&M Associates as their Controller/Accounting Manager, T&M sought my services and became
one of my clients. I agreed to implement T&M’s new Job Costing and Accounting software package for them. The
software package is BST’s Aurora product (subsequently renamed Enterprise). I functioned as the Project Manager of
this software conversion. My services included coordinating the entire conversion, system configuration, master file
set-ups, working closely with the programmer I engaged to do the data conversion, and training personnel at all levels of
the organization to utilize the new system. I successfully completed the implementation, on schedule and within budget.
I was instrumental in integrating the abilities of the new software to meet strategic goals of the firm.
Aug 1973 – Mar 1999 T&M Associates ($20million, 200 plus person Consulting Engineering Firm)
Middletown, NJ
Controller (1992 – Mar 1999) – I investigated financial and project accounting software alternatives for
design/engineering firms. I analyzed the options and reported my analysis, along with my recommendations, to the
Board. My recommendation was selected. I negotiated a contract with the chosen vendor and subsequently implemented
the new software.
My knowledge of accounting, coupled with my ability to apply modern technology to streamline accounting department
processes, has enabled me to routinely reduce work-in-process days outstanding and AR days outstanding, to improve
cash flow through more timely billings, and to improve project management through timelier project status reporting.
I was able to streamline the month-end close process so as to provide financial statements to the Board within 5 calendar
days of the month-end (generally within 3 days). Until 1992, T&M’s outside accountants came in monthly for the month-
end close. When I took over the Controllership position, the outside accountants’ visits became quarterly.
