2. Piping conforming to ASME B31.3, B31.1 and B31.4 codes.
3. Nozzle qualifications using Nozzle Pro, WRC 297, and WRC 107.
4. Pump qualification using API-610 and ANSI codes.
5. Heat Exchanger nozzles using API-560

Worked as a Pipe Stress Engineer for Small Bore Piping Analysis, as a Job-Shopper.
1. Performed Hand Calculations for Stresses and Loads, per ASME Code Equations.
2. Located and designed Supports, based on Project guidelines.
3. Used STRUDL Software to design Special Supports, as needed.
4. Calculated Seismic Loads in three directions, and combined them with Thermal and
Sustained loads to calculate combined loads for emergency conditions.
5. Hand-calculated the “acceptable” Operational loads per ASME requirements.
6. Performed As-Built Stress Analysis for re-routed and/or non-conforming pipe lengths
and routing, to reconcile Loads and Stresses.
BECHTEL (SAN FRANCISCO DIVISION) (JUNE 1979 TO MAY 1981)
Joined Bechtel and received Classroom training in Pipe Stress Analysis.
1. Trained in flexibility concepts and the interaction between Sustained loads, Seismic
Loads, and thermal Loads.
2. Used above knowledge to Hand-calculate Stresses and Loads.
