Corporation's $3+ billion project to expand the crude oil refining capacity of the company's

Garyville, La., refinery by 180,000 barrels per day. Included new crude/vac unit, hydrocracker,

Coker, NHT, CCR, KHT, sat gas, and sulfur block to enable refining of sour crude

During this Project I was the Area Lead for OSBL Unit and Area Monitor for Sats-Gas unit,

coordinating work share with our GEC-ICA Mexico Office. Responsibilities included stress

analysis, support design and selection of specialty items. More interesting problems solved were

related with large long term settlement at equipments and the design of the two new ground flares

with multiple knock out drums. I performed quality assurance tasks as well as training of

engineers at Fluor and ICA

modular design. Timing for material delivery and construction was the main challenge due to

extreme weather condition on the Island.
