Background

Mr. Nguyen is an ADP Human Resource and Payroll System consultant; he has a well-

rounded knowledge of database development (Oracle 8i, 9i, 10g and MS SQL Server)

and administration, along with ADP two and three tier application processes. His

hands on functional and technical experience with HR, Benefits, and Payroll modules

Server 2000 to ADP EV-5 on SQL Server 2005

Acted as Lead DBA and Upgrade Specialist. Migrated database from SQL Server 2000

to SQL Server 2005i. Upgraded the application from Enterprise v3 to v5. Worked with

clients on developing custom panels and reports to accommodate their specific

needs. Converted SQR programs and Reportsmith reports to comply with new EV5

platform. Helped clients transmitted parallel and live payroll. Responsible for post

production support.

Worked with client on analyzing old reports from legacy HRIS system and developed

new custom SQL for Crystal Reporting in E-Portifolio. Developed complex reporting

unknown processes and outstanding issues from their implementation. Trained client

on HR and Payroll and Benefits functions of EV5 and also provided implementation

Converted Payroll, Benefits and HR ReportSmith Reports to ADP Reporter Reports.

Worked directly with ADP Reporter Solution Center to resolve many anomalies for a

client new to ADP Reporter’s world, there were missing custom tables, inability to

accommodate functionality as was used in Reportsmith. Provided post production

support for an implementation. Developed custom Macro reporting solution to resolve

complex data reporting from multiple data sources. Data were housed in both

database and Excel spreadsheets that needed to merge for submission to Success

Factors and OC Tanner. Technical lead in Success Factors development for

Performance Management and Compensation data pull modules.

Applied the September 2007 EEO Patch Upgrade on an advanced tools ADP database.

Recreated Production environment on off-site lab; created Test, Devl, and Prod

integrity and financial output.

data integrity audits from their legacy Powersource and ADP application. Created

complex procedural SQL scripts for data cleanup and reporting. Created SQR program

for business specific solutions. Acted as liaison between VWR and ADP technical staff.

Acted as technical consultant on a HRizon V9 and SQLServer 7 system. Provided

consultation to the IT staff on resolving database server performance issues.

Assisted IT department in building a new environment to house the production

database for reporting purposes. Helped payroll department in resolving business

logic strategy to migrate from current system to new system. Edited more than 20

SQR programs to accommodate business logic. Installed ReportSmith and performed

trouble-shooting of issues for end-users. Reworked end-user security to allow proper

access to the HRizon system. Customized HRizon panels to accommodate payroll

daily process.

Equinox Fitness, Health Club; Database and Application Server Disaster Recovery

Implementation; SQLServer 2000; 800 Employees

Acted as lead consultant on ADP HRMS disaster recovery implementation. Equinox

had previously crashed their production database and application server; and wanted

to create “hot” redundant environments (application server and database server) to

production. The SQL Server database is replicated to a secondary server and the two

application servers (production and secondary) can connect to both the new and old

databases. This setup allowed for fail-over of the production application server the

database server or both. The setup was successfully tested on multiple disaster

scenarios.

The County of Middlesex, NJ, Government; Upgraded ADP Enterprise V2k to V4c

Advance SQLServer V7 to V 2000; 4000 Employees

Acted as DBA, Lead Upgrade Specialist, and Developer on an offsite advanced tools

upgrade. Installed and configured ADP EV4d according to ADP installation standards.

Migrated SQLServer 7 to SQLServer 2000 version. Upgraded the application from

Enterprise 2K to Enterprise 4C. Worked with clients on developing customs panels

and reports to accommodate their specific business needs. Converted SQR programs

and ReportSmith reports to comply with new EV4 database changes. Implemented

new EV4 security. Resolved java and database issues that affected the functionality

of the application.

Shurgard Storage Co., Advance Upgraded ADP Enterprise 2k to 4c Oracle 9i to; 500

Employees

Acted as Upgrade Specialist, DBA and Developer on an offsite advanced tools

upgrade. Upgraded the application from Enterprise 2K to Enterprise 4C. Worked with

client on developing custom panels and reports to accommodate their specific needs.

Converted SQR programs and Reportsmith reports to comply with new EV4 database

changes. Implemented new EV4 security.

GE, Real Estate Division; Carveout ADP Enterprise V-3 database to split one company

into two. Worked on Oracle 9i; 14000 employees

Acted as DBA and Programmer on an offsite database split. GE sold off their

subsidiary company to Storage USA. Developed a custom SQR program to terminate

all the employees in the old database and another SQR program to delete opposite

employee population from the new database. Deliverable were two databases, for

two separate companies. Worked with client to resolve many critical business

decisions.

Acted as DBA and Trainer on an offsite database upgrade. Converted database from

Oracle 8i to 9i. Upgraded the application from Hrizon v9 to Enterprise v4. Trained two

colleagues on how to do upgrade and how to execute the different processes and

behind the scenes steps. Taught them on how to utilize different Enterprise toolsets

to accomplish the job.
