Responsible for selling and delivering consulting services within Global Business Services division of IBM and a
member of the Retail industry executive tem. Current Focus areas: IT Strategy, Multi-Channel, Quality, Global
Delivery and the Door Opener Program. Past focus: Store Practice leader, Merchandising and Supply Chain
consulting.
Door Opener Program: Responsible for packaging our solutions into quick-hit initiatives that would help address
client issues during economic hard times in an effort to drive new client value and open the door to longer term
core consulting services for IBM. Work with our Sales & Distribution client executives to understand the door
openers, develop conversation starters and get the door opener meetings scheduled for our consulting partners.
An initial six week effort harvested sixty opportunities worth $20m in potential sales.
Walmart Stores, Bentonvile, AR
Responsible for developing and growing IBM’s application management services book of business for the Walmart
account ($3.2m to $15m) and improving our client satisfaction ratings. This was accomplished by:
• Simplifying and making it easy for Walmart to contract services from IBM.
• Implemented a global rate card that established awareness of IBM’s competitiveness for application
management and technology services across Walmart.
• Assisted Walmart define and implement a remote sourcing governance process, including partner
selection, performance management, forecasting and demand management in order to reduce
procurement cycles, overall spend and retain knowledge of the workforce (four primary partners, 2000+
resources, $200m+ annual spend).
• Led an initiative to define and pilot an Enterprise Quality Assurance framework for full cycle testing,
included: Process, metrics, templates and tools.
- Established an offshore services team to provide requirements verification, use case
development, design document verification and test case writing as well as test execution and
reporting.
• Provide oversight for all IBM application management services engagements with full profit and loss
responsibility.
• Coach and mentor the IBM account team, provide win strategies and proposal guidance.

Interim CIO: Reporting to the CEO and tasked with stabilizing the IT organization (staff of 100) and making
immediate service improvements for this high growth retailer. Assessed and prioritized IT issues to formulate
short and intermediate term action plans in support of the corporate strategy.
• Targeted and executed programs for immediate performance improvements including; 7 hours gains
posting sales, 9 hour gains processing allocations, and 60 % gain processing mark downs. Established a
SWAT team to address outstanding performance issues related to the ERP implementation, facilitated
short and long term remediation plan and worked to reestablish an ongoing partnership with the
software vendor.
• Instituted formalized Portfolio Management, Project Management Methodology and Tools, and QA
metrics to establish measurable service goals and cultivate a culture of accountability in pride of
workmanship.
• Evaluated organizational structure and human capital deficits. Implemented an organizational re-
alignment to a business service model and to achieve SOX compliance. Executed a recruiting program to
address gaps and top-grade staff.

Account Executive/Engagement Director for the ($26 billion home improvement retailer)
• Responsible for selling and delivering an IT transformation engagement including operating model and
governance structure. Worked with the executive committee to operationalize strategic and tactical
business direction, define business and technology initiatives and establish a three-year operational plan.

The project included strategy, infrastructure and management organization tracks. The project was

associates.
