Dear Hiring Executive:
More so than ever in today’s uncertain economic climate, professionals at all levels must care-
fully manage their investment of time and financial resources. I am a firm believer that, in
order to ensure success in a recovering market, it is absolutely key that companies bring in only
the most talented, qualified, and dynamic professionals with a demonstrated ability to excel
through dedicated performance, insightful strategic planning, effective interpersonal interac-
tion, and the ability to motivate fellow employees to take pride and ownership in their work
through leading by example.
I believe strongly that I possess precisely these qualities, which will make me an ideal candi-
date for a position with your organization; therefore, I have enclosed my resume for your con-
sideration, which will provide you with the relevant information regarding my skills, and
experience.
As my resume will indicate, I have extensive leadership experience in creative design and art
production. For over fifteen years, I have led the artistic team at Johnson Publishing, publisher
of such successful, nationally recognized magazines as Jet and Ebony. Additionally, I invite you
to access my expanded visual portfolio at http://cathysportfolio.com . I am now positioned to
integrate the skills and expertise I have developed throughout my career in a challenging new
position within your respected organization.
Knowing that this brief introduction cannot adequately answer all of your questions, I eagerly
await the opportunity to discuss the possibility of developing a long-term professional relation-
ship with you in person.
Sincerely,
Cathy Reedy
