• Global Facilities Optimization Program Leader: Implemented annualized operational savings of $30

• Collaborated with Executive and Business Leadership on developing site profitability growth plan.
Key successes include expense reductions of $4.4MM and increase in site profitability of 20%.
• Manufacturing representative on Corporate Business Developmental Teams for Food & Health
Specialties (2003-2006), Industrial Lubricants & Additives (1998-2006), General Surfactants (2007),

recordable average rate of 1.03. Site specific programs include Behavior Based Safety Programs, Job

(2008).
• Work with the Army Corp of Engineers and Nuclear Regulatory Agency to mitigate site superfund
issues that resulted before Stepan owned the Maywood site.
• Developed (w/ Corporate EHS&S Director and Company Plant Managers) a 2007-2009 Strategic
Plan for Corporate EHS&S performance improvement.
• Member of Corporate Employee Retention Work Group. Focus areas in Employee and Leadership
Development, Competency Based Performance Assessments, and Compensation. Mentored and
developed high potential employees in Plant Management, Engineering, Safety, and Human
Resources.
• Collective Bargaining: Maywood (2003, 2006) and Fieldsboro (2006) Negotiations. Significant
accomplishments include negotiating changes in wage structure and pension, drug testing policy, and
healthcare.
• Champion for the Plant Quality Improvement Process, includes Six-Sigma, 5S, TPM/RCM, Lean,
Quality Assured Systems, etc. From 2003-2007 the plant’s cost out efforts delivered over $7MM in
cost reductions and process improvements ($5MM goal), reduced waste generation by 20%, and
improved plant throughput by 10%.
• Site Supply Chain Improvements: Customer service performance of 97% (94% goal), 50% reduction
in customer complaints/returns, 12% reduction in inventory levels.
