2007 – Present

VICE PRESIDENT, SALES AND ENGINEERING

Recruited to this 28 year old privately held company as a strategic partner to the President with primary

responsibility for achieving the owner’s long term vision and goals by driving strategic new business

development, maximizing equipment design and engineering efficiency, implementing new marketing

positioning programs and restructuring and upgrading the skill set of the sales organization.

• Partnered in the development of cost containment measures, which sustained budgeted

EBIT despite a reduction in top line sales during 2008-2009 economic downturn.

• Developed and implemented new market development strategy which expanded customer

acquisition and retention via the establishment of a network of independent sales rep

organization partnerships contributing $2.1 million in top line sales revenue in 2008.

• Negotiated new distributor partnerships expanding company’s presence in several

international markets including Mexico, Canada, Spain and Russia.

• Developed and implemented Engineered Solutions consulting services practice

generating incremental $500,000 in sales in 2009.

AMERICAN PURPAC TECHNOLOGIES, LLC, Beloit, WI (food and beverage contract manufacturer)

$30 million co-manufacturer of bulk pre-blended and aseptically processed ingredients used in food and

beverage products marketed by all leading consumer products companies.

PRESIDENT/COO (Co-founder) 2002– 2007

As President (and co-developer of the business concept) provided a lead role in securing $20 million in

private equity investment to support the start up and early stage development of the company. Senior

company executive leading day to day management of all corporate functions.

• Led the company from concept development and start up through to early financial

viability. Sold equity position in May 2007. Company was sold to a strategic buyer in

May 2008.

BEVSTAR, INC., Elk Grove, IL (subsidiary of Isoworth Holdings, Ltd., a UK based beverage technology company)

Start-up CPG marketing and distribution company, which introduced a proprietary design compact

beverage dispensing system distributed through direct sales, distributor/wholesalers and branded beverage

networks.

PRESIDENT AND CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER 1999 – 2002

Recruited to establish the U.S. subsidiary of a privately held UK parent company and lead the North

American launch of patented new compact beverage dispensing technology. Senior company executive

overseeing day to day management of all corporate functions.

• Led the company from incorporation and start up through to early financial viability.

The patented concept was successfully licensed to a strategic partner in 2003.

INDUSTRIAL COATINGS GROUP, INC., Chicago, IL (industrial products manufacturer)

A $75 million leading manufacturer and business to business supplier of a line of custom engineered coated

substrates and extruded films utilized in numerous consumer and industrial product applications.

VICE PRESIDENT SALES AND MARKETING 1994 – 1999

Recruited to this 75 year old privately held industrial manufacturer reporting to the President to provide

leadership in sales and marketing plan development and implementation for two operating divisions.

Hands-on management directing the sales, marketing, new product development, applications engineering

and customer service functions.

• Developed and implemented comprehensive strategic new business development plan

resulting in the introduction of more than 10 new custom engineered products generating

$10+ million in new business contributing to the reversal of 3 year downward decline in

sales.

Redesigned and introduced two product lines ultimately sold to strategic buyers.

by 50% and consolidating excess manufacturing capacity by 30%.

Recruited to this privately funded start-up beverage distribution company initially as a strategic consultant

to the owner with potential for long term equity position. Responsible for coordinating the development

and implementation of strategic marketing plans as well as leading front line new business development

Progressive promotions in management assignments leading sales and operations teams at the bottler, and

regional/divisional level for the Pepsi Food Service Division.
