Senior Applications Developer (August 2005 - August 2008)

Software maintenance and support of e-commence newspaper subscription website. Written in java using apache struts

framework with jsp (java server pages) accessing Oracle 8/9/10 databases to store customer transactions with encrypted

credit card data. The e-commence newspaper subscription website ran on Weblogic Sun Solaris based servers which I

provided support and did deployments from Jbuilder 2007 (Codegear Eclipse version).

The e-commence newspaper subscription website also accessed a back end IBM mainframe that stored customer data for

billing and accounting. Attachmate software was used to access the IBM mainframe via 3270 virtual screens. I wrote java

code to populate Attachmate bean data to send transactions to IBM 3270 virtual screens. I installed and configured the

Attachmate software, doing 3270 screen scrapes to build the java in/out objects that could read, insert, and update

records on the IBM mainframe.

Wrote and maintained Perl scripts to build reports from the Oracle tables to obtain the transaction stats such as failure

counts, success counts, or transactions that required customer service, blacklisted credit card numbers. The Attachmate

software ran on Microsoft Windows XP Professional platforms which I installed, updated and provide support. I worked

on a team of developers from various backgrounds (IBM mainframe, Java, C#, .Net) using agile/scrum project

management. We used JIRA software for bug tracking, issue tracking, and agile/scrum project management. We created

our documentation using Confluence enterprise software.

Software maintenance and support for FingerPost/CCI Newsdesk wire systems in Perl to publish NBA, NFL, Baseball

sports tables. Modified XML schemas using XMLSpy for IBM WebSphere SOA servers, for a e-commence job/auto ad

creation website. Also created Attachmate WSDL web service to handle requests from the IBM WebSphere SOA server,

again to process IBM 3270 virtual screen data. Used SoapUI tool for testing.
